My Reviews

Kind of annoying, but still very useful Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Imagus automatically switches to the tab when you press the hot-key to load the zoomed image in a new tab. You must use Shift+O to load the tab in the background and the options are so limited that you can't change this.

This may seem like a small issue but it seriously grates on the nerves after awhile. Especially when you're browsing through several images.

I'd actually give it 5 stars were it not for this problem.

Game Deals

Works! You need this add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

So this little add-on just became a must-have for me. It works flawlessly right along side the amazing Super Steam add-on.

Bonus: I'm writing this during the Steam Summer sale 2016 and it's found a couple of places that have bested the Steam sale by $1. It's just a buck, but it does show how useful this add-on is.

About the only thing that would make it even better is if it ran on the Wishlist page for each game so that you could immediately see if anything on your wishlist is on sale somewhere. I'm not even sure if that's possible, just throwing that out there.

SteamRep Checker

Still works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This addon displays the data from SteamRep on the profile page of the Steam user in addition to linking to a number of other sites that may contain information about the Steam ID.

My only wish is that this would work on the forums to display some kind of reputation badge next to the forum poster's name.

Nice to see this on Firefox Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm happy to see this on Firefox. Thanks for the work put into this addon. If you someone uses steam (and I'm sure they do) then they should get this addon.

Probably my only "complaint" is that it needs an FAQ or some other method of explaining features like setting a background or such.

Tumblr Savior

Necessary Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Get rid of all of the drama and nonsense without unfollowing a blogger whom posts otherwise interesting content. Works fine for me to get rid of SJW related keywords, vegan proselytizing, zodiac fluff, topical things like famous persons passing away (may they RIP), spoilers and so on.

Broken Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Never validates anything because because, and I quote, an "error occurred in DNSSC validator core".

Therefore this does nothing in FF v46.0.1.

Good Search Engine Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There was a time years ago when I moved my relatives to Google and I, too, was a huge fan of their search.

Times change. Technology is ever-evolving. Bing has been my default search engine for nearly 3 years now, and I've watched Google copy Bing's designs over these past three years. Bing still does it better.

Some of the more zealot people will laugh, mock, and behave generally immaturely but their actions speak for themselves.

I've been building computers for over 20 years and I am accustomed to adapting to advances in technology. I am not a follower of particular companies, I am more than willing to switch to better services. While Google's search engine has its uses, Bing is the search service that I recommend as most people's default search engine.

Self-Destructing Cookies

part of the must-have add-ons Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on allows you to choose which site can keep cookies and the rest are automatically deleted. It's an excellent tool and, to be honest, this should be a part of the built-in functionality of the browser.

Needs a whitelist rather than a blacklist Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on works and I wouldn't call it bad, but it's not very useful (for my purposes) as-is. Several entries in the blacklist are required in order to accomplish what just a couple of whitelist entries would accomplish, and even then it is not as accurate as it could be.

SmartVideo For YouTube

All of these options, but not a one to set a default volume.

Dr. Body Narrow

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

EyeFinity and Surround gaming users, this is what you're looking for. The name is very odd, but it does exactly what you've been wanting. No more manually resizing a browser window because full screen spans all 3 monitors.

I use this and thoroughly enjoy it, particularly in light of how incredibly invasive Facebook is becoming. It's a great all around too to avoid that kind of mess. As others have said, it goes great with NoScript.

Useful, but still problematic and frustrating. It forces Tor to be the default proxy, and the option to set your own default proxy is summarily ignored (the option of selecting a default proxy is provided, but doing so is either broken or is deliberately forced to be Tor, I can't say which).

The UI is also pretty awful. Adding the first rule is rather problematic until you get one or two to finally stick, and the wildcard method of adding web addresses is generally pretty good, but it is sometimes ignored.

In short, this is a long way from Switchy on Chrome, but it's the only automatic proxy switch that I can find for Firefox here on Mozilla.org. It only gets the job half done because it forces Tor (and I would prefer to default to i2P), but it is better than nothing. At least I can still easily connect to eep sites, and I can still route certain domains through a proxy.

This plugin also takes over the Network configuration window under Firefox's Options : Advanced : Network, which is a little irritating.

Excellent! One of my passwords is over 40 characters long. I was dreading typing that beast out, so this is exactly what I was needing.

Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out (TACO)

No, thanks. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

What I know is this:

1.) I did not choose to have this "abine" installed.
2.) It's broken, forcing a "re-install this" error message each time that the browser starts

Honestly, this is the wrong way for a new privacy company to get their products out. You don't just suddenly invite yourself onto people's machines, regardless of your intentions. Also, your product should probably work..

This is exactly what I want, but for cookies. Example: When I visit www.google.com it should not read my login from the cookie that was set at YouTube.com. I know that they're the same company, but I would I would LOVE to see this exact same segregation done to cookies.

Also, this plugin specifically looks quite nice. This will become a part of my "must" install on new FF installs.
