Encrypt the web! HTTPS Everywhere is a Firefox extension to protect your communications by enabling HTTPS encryption automatically on sites that are known to support it, even when you type URLs or follow links that omit the https: prefix.
Collector's Note An excellent utility to force an HTTPS connection on a select number of common websites (Google, Facebook, Twitter, most of Amazon, Wikipedia, and a few others) Easy to use for non-technical users as you can just install and go without any further configuration, but more advanced users may be better off with Force-TLS/STS UI. [HTTPS Everywhere supports Firefox 3.5.x-4.x+].
Force-TLS helps you manage sites that must be loaded over HTTPS only. Strict-Transport-Security is built into Firefox, but without a UI; this lets you import/export and manage these settings.
Collector's Note An excellent utility to force an HTTPS connection on user-defined websites. (It won't work everywhere, only on user-defined sites that also happen to support SSL). This add-on is geared towards power users, you may want to consider "HTTPS Everywhere" otherwise. [Force-TLS supports Firefox 3.5.x-3.6.x]
