3+ years with no problems Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using this app for the past few years (from back when it was called webmail notifier or something) for gmail and hotmail. The only problems I've had were when the providers changed their systems, and even that was a temporary hiccup easily fixed by logging in one time through their webpage, or adjusting a security setting to a slightly-less paranoid level.
It does it's job, doesn't consume too many resources, and stays out of the way until you need it. It's updated pretty regularly so it continues to get along with the providers systems.
Used to be great. But doesn't work for the last two-three revisions. Especially with 2FA Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It used work great with Gmail(with 2FA), but now it just doesn't work with Gmail. Recently the problems started with Yahoo. Even with APP Specific passwords, it doesnt work. Hope a new release will solve these issuesThis user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

Still doesn't work with GMail. I just downloaded and installed it today, and despite much tinkering, I can't get it to notify me of GMail at all. It continually says "GMail: not checked".

Have used this for years and was brilliant but suddenly it won't check for Yahoo Mail. When you click on the icon it just takes you to the yahoo log in page but doesn't keep you logged in
Doesn't work at all anymore... Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I've been using this app for years and it worked fantastic, but now nothing works (I had two gmail accounts and one yahoo account). I need to be on top of my emails for a lot of things and this makes that impossible now.
Even with the new version for Firefox 31, since firefox updates the beta almost every week it makes everything obsolete in mere days. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed that this app went to hell in a hand basket :/
GMail broken Rated 4 out of 5 stars
3.4.1 stopped working with GMail and only checked and reported on one account with all the rest reporting no emails when I know that there are unread emails because they did show up a little earlier.
3.4.2 update makes no difference.
I'm using Palemoon 24.6.2 which is well behind the current FF version. No PM update done, GMail just stopped working with X-Notifier.
It seems that the problem is due to the inbox configuration. Emails which were unread showed as new mail but after setting up the promotional tab with unread emails in it, X-Notifier is no longer showing them as new unread mail.
Update to current version Rated 5 out of 5 stars
For those having problems be sure to update to the most current version. A recent update to Firefox broke the previous version. Current ver. 3.4.2 works perfectly on FF 31 (beta).
This is a great extension, does exactly what I need... notifies me of emails without having a webmail tab open. Developer responds quickly to issues as well. Thanks.

Captcha window pops up for 1/3 Yahoo e-mail accounts, won't go away Rated 3 out of 5 stars
After many years of my reliably using xnotifier with Firefox on an Ubuntu-based machine, a CAPTCHA window now pops up in connection with only one of my 3 yahoo.com e-mail accounts -- and after I repeatedly enter the requested code, the CAPTCHA window keeps coming back requesting another code. The code is entered correcty each time, including caps/non-caps, but the CAPTCHA window keeps coming back! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.1).

Works great with yahoo and gmail. It's very helpful because it opens multiple email adresses in the same browser page, in the same time. It notifies you immediatly right after you receive an email from any of your addresses. I'm very pleased with it and i use it for almost one year now. Thank you! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.1).

Comcast Restored Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Comcast script 2014-05-16 fixed whatever ailed Comcast. Comcast notifications once again work perfectly. In the immortal words of Fred Flintstone, "Yabba dabba doo!"This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4). This user has 15 previous reviews of this add-on.
Notification window: No closing button any more Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I updated to FF 29 as well as to x-notifier 3.4. Now there is no button any more to close the notification window. Before there was an x-button in the right corner. I was free to choose to open the new email or to read it later. Without this closing button its definitely not nice. It nervs!
But in general i do really love this add-on!!!

Best Multi-Account Notifier. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is great for people who have multiple webmail accounts! It even has support for a lot of the less popular providers, via "userscripts", of which there are a ton already. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.16).
Did fine until FX 29 came out Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Now it shows there is email but a left click does nothing to open either a new tab or window, must right click on it to get it to open. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.16).
