Will this add on be updated to support Thunderbird version 115.6.0 or newer?

Great. This additional tutorial for Outlook.com/Hotmail was very useful as well... https://www.itechtics.com/how-to-synchronize-outlook-com-contacts-with-thunderbird-addressbook/

The addons does not work on latest TB (59) without a workaround: I have to install 56, install tzpush, configure it and then upgrade back to TB 59.

The problem is that the settings screen is not rendered correctly

Does not work with outlook. Posted on the forum advertised here a few weeks ago and no response.Spent too much time googling it and trying to make it work, including this which did not work. https://www.itechtics.com/how-to-synchronize-outlook-com-contacts-with-thunderbird-addressbook/

I would like it they were explaining to me the difference between the buttons of Addressbook and Resync All. I congratulate them on the great realized work.

Ich works very well with HORDE Webmail version 5 and synchronizes all data from the address book. But be careful: when the DAY of your birthday or anniversary is a single digit, the whole data get lost due to an unresolved bug!

I used TZpush to synchronize my several instances of Thunderbird with my address book in Zimbra (It was far from perfect, but it did the job), but it does nto work anymore. And I cannot figure out why, neither am I able to find another solution...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.9.9.7).

If someone can supply me with a zimbra account to test against I will look into it. TZpush is known to work with zextras.

I was very pleased when I found this add-on, since I really like Thunderbird and my Windows Phone. I want to sync all my contacts on Windows Phone contacts with Thunderbird contacts.

But tzpush is not working well. If changes in Thunderbird contacts seem to synchronise to Outlook, outlook.com contacts are always always not synchronised to Thunderbird.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.9.9.2).

To way sync to outlook.com should work. Can you post at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/tzpush so we can getthis problem sorted.

This is a wonderful plugin, and version 1.9.9.9.1 works well with one.com. For Exchange servers that do not offer EWS functionality, this is the only way to sync with Thunderbird I know of. The vCard fields that version adds which Thunderbird lacks by default are a great improvement, especially the Middlename field. The plugin is quite easy to use, but some testing to find the right settings may be advisable.

The support is truly great. When I noted at the forum that version 1.9.8.6 had some difficulties with one.com, I received a response within hours and a patch that solved everything within two days!

The add-on seems to do what it was intended for.

However, I hope in the future it will be possible to sync multiple Outlook.com accounts, each one to their own address books (similarly to the gContactSync add-on).

tzpush2-beta does this. It is available under other versions.

It's a very good plugin that does work but only with correct settings. Here is the step by step tutorial on how to configure TZPush for Outlook.com:

How-to sync with Outlook.com :
1) connect to Outlook.com, remember the first 3 letters of the adress in the adress bar (eg : col789.mail.live.com

2) in the TZ-Push options :
- Server : fill with the 3 letters from above in the beggining of -m.hotmail.com (eg : col-m.hotmail.com), check "Use https://"
- User name : your entire Outlook.com adress (eg : [email protected])
- Password : your Outlook.com password
- Device ID : don't change it
- Other boxes : I only checked "Use "," as a separator"

3) Click on "Resync all"

Great Addon, that solved my wish to sync Thunderbird with my Windows Phone (Via Outlook.com - I don't use an outlook.com-address).

I DOES sync with outlook.com - at least in its newest version.

In the first place I considered switching to Outlook. But now I can go one with Thunderbird AND I can sync my contacts.

Thanks

PS: Support is great!

I was really happy when I found this add-on, since I really like Thunderbird and my Windows Phone and I want to sync all my contacts on outlook.com between them.
But unfortunately, tzpush is not working properly. Changes in Thunderbird are always not synced to outlook and sometimes nothing is synced at all. But the worst is, that all my contacts are duplicate on outlook.com now after some tests and I have to clean up that mess. :-/ Better uninstalling that before more accidents happen.

I am sorry this did not work for you. You can post problems https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!forum/tzpush

Using it with Zarafa / Z-Push v.2.1.1. First sync works very well. But when I build up a new contact in thunderbird I got it twice. Zarafa Webapp shows that contact two times,, and my smartphone (Android) too. Would be nice if you can fix that. Using Z-Push quite a while without having problems, or do I have to make some changes in z-push (config.php). Just usings standards. Maybe there is an issue. After all its a really really good thing. Thnx for that.

I will look into this problem. tzpush forum is at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/tzpush Could you post the problem there.
Thanks Mark

Please install version 1.8.7. Available from view other versions.

Thanks. Works well with my horde 5 install. It would be nice if it could do contact photo sync also. The tip about the certificate was critical.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8).

Thanks for your review.
Contact photos should sync from horde to tzpush. Sending photos is something I will work on. Photos have to be a resized for zpush/activesync before sending.

Syncs an address book with my Zarafa/Z-Push server. Works as designed. With Lightning I can now use Thunderbird to replace Outlook to access my Zarafa server.

This is just what I've been looking for! I'm using it to sync Thunderbird's address book to a Kolab server and it is working just fine. A couple of weeks in and everything is running smoothly. I've previously used SyncKolab, but found that had a tendency to produce some nasty surprises, but tzpush seems to do pretty much exactly what it should. One slight niggle is that the second line of addresses isn't transferred, but on the plus side it seems to be being actively developed and all the niggles I've identified so far have been quickly resolved. A really useful addon!

Fix for this issue. see https://code.google.com/p/tz-push/
Or wait and will be here very soon

========

Added later: Sorry for writing in German. I have installed this extension yesterday on several computers and for several users. I use it together with Zarafa/Z-Push. It seems to work correctly. Of course, I can not yet make any statements about stability and reliability. This was really the last missing link for synchronizing Thunderbird, Zarafa and our cell phones.

Hint: If you use a self-signed server certificate, ensure to trust that certificate to identify web sites (within the certificates dialog of Thunderbird).

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.9.3).

Will work on getting that finale star.
