Life saver! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon is now in my top3 indispensable list.
Stuff i saved while browsing the web used to pile up on my desktop until it filled the screen. I always got comments from people who'd never seen such a messy desktop, concerned that it was slowing my computer (nah... that was a worry in my old laptop, not on this i7 beast, with 64bits, 16GB RAM, SSD primary disk). And don't think it's because i'm sloppy... it's the opposite, i'm borderline OCD with file organization. But too much file-saving, too complex folder hierarchy and too little time often led me to constantly postpone sorting all that stuff until it became unbearable.

But no more! Since i installed SFT i've been running an immaculate desktop for months. It's such a time-saver i can't conceive browsing the internet without it now. If you're constantly downloading content, you HAVE to get this!

Thank you very much to the developer!!! Expect a contribution from me as soon as i stop being broke...

A couple of suggestions:
- Option to trigger save dialog when a file with the same name already exists in the save to folder.
- Option to use the same folder history for all tabs (Page, Link, Image, File).
- Option to populate all tabs with the same menu entries. Copy-pasting them is OK and it's pretty much a one time thing, but the process could be made simpler, if you ever find yourself with nothing else to do :-P

(nitpicking here, 5 stars and wished i could award a 6th, even without those features)

Great Add On and I'm really grateful for it and your hard work! Would it be possible to add an import feature to save or carry these settings to other computers or profiles? Hope this can happen. Thanks for this!

Now i can't imagine myself without it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I started using it a couple months ago and it's all i wanted for quite a long time, i use it for everything i download.
The only feature i think is missing is the ability to relocate the "Save Here" context option right on the parent folder, or make the folder itself clickable to save it there. I'm constantly having this issue where i save a lot of webpages on root folders and sometimes it takes forever to load all the htm sub-folders when right from the start all i want to save it on the main one.

Thanks for this great tool!

It works perfectly on Firefox 33.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. This is essential if you are someone who maintains well organised directories. It's confusing that this isn't baked into Firefox and yet we have Developer Tools.

Working just fine once again (FF30) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used SaveFileTo for years, and consider it to be one of my most essential add-ons.

The newly released version of SFt (2.5.2) works just beautifully once again. Thank you so, so much !!!

A well-deserved "5-stars" once again ...!

For the record, currently running FF 30.0 under x64 Win8.1.

[I find it somewhat serendipitous that this was bug #42 that needed fixing. As Douglas Adams would say, "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish" :-) ]

Convenient if your computer is slow on right-clicking and/or you download things frequently.

Doesn't use cookies from referring page Rated 2 out of 5 stars

When on sites that require me to log in to download links, using Save File to, always fail to download and result in a login page instead of the file. This is probably because the extension is not using the cookies for the site and is not setting the referrer header from the referring page.

Great but needs a tad bit more Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I think "save file to" needs a function to add,at any time, a new folder on the fly. Say you select and want to save an image, you want it on the desktop in its own new folder: you need to minimize firefox, make that folder and only then can you use "save file to" to add it to that folder.

This would make "save file to even more convenient then it is now.

Another feature that would be awesome is when in the context menu ,you are traveling through the folders, you can on the spot decide you want to add that folder to the stock folders that you always have for that particular file type. Right now you need to add it by going to the option and add it there. While this is fine,it doesn't make for a very flexible experience.

You could implement this by showing Icons next to the folders,in the context menu, and if you click the icon, that folder gets added to the quick search. If you already have that folder added, clicking it again would then remove it from the quick searches.

These 2 options would take this wonderful addon to the next level.

Crazy in need of this ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Imagine your house having your clothes in the fridge, flowers sitting in your expensive crystal glasses, your washing machine being the house of your furry pet, you playing table tennis in the kitchen using a dish as a bat and an onion as the ball, having as partner your imaginary friend. Sounds crazy, huh? Well that's about the same life you get without this plugin. Scared? Download it now :)

Should be a standard feature Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension is so wonderfully simple/elegant in how it works that I for one cannot believe Mozilla has not implemented it on as a default option. Seriously a must-have.
