Meet the OxyBird Developer

Why was OxyBird created?

I Love Thunderbird! Wished to have a consistent look on my KDE4 desktop. Have always been an Open Source user. Wished to give something back to the community and finally, the Oxygen icons looked great! Thanks to the artists/developers. The result: OxyBird

This was also my first effort at theming. The entire work was done on a Linux machine (openSUSE) using Gimp/Inkscape and other tools.

What's next for OxyBird

OxyBird 1.4 is on the way! Will solve some of the issues mentioned here and elsewhere. Will be updated based on changes in the current release of the Oxygen icon theme.

OxyBird 2 will be released separately to support Thunderbird 3 (if it is not possible to support both versions of Thunderbird (2 and 3) using the same theme)

Gimp source files will be made available for download so that a Mac version of the theme can be made. I don't have a Mac!
