Just tried it in firefox 52. It doesn't work, looks like it hasn't worked for a very long time.

It reacts to keys it's not bound to like the home key. Instead of only Meta+N.
It doesn't actually save the notes.

Doesn't seem to work with Firefox v28

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

opens/closes with multiple navigation keys instead of enter, can't change or disable global key option, setting to put notes on bottom of page ignored.

If you are going public a beta release, please warn us. It's misbehaving. I had to uninstall it.

Use of many Crtl keys would open Notes sidebar. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Every time I when to copy and paste something using the shortcut Ctrl+C, it would open the Notes sidebar.I looked for a place to report this bug but couldn't find one.

Messed up my keys - don't use if you use any type of WebMail Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon really messed up my keys, which meant I could not use a WebMail editor. Every time I pressed any arrow key, it toggled open a sidebar, and on the next key press closed it again(repeatedly, and infuriatingly)
This almost made my Browser unusable. I have been relieved to remove it.
I wish I had read a review like the one I am writing now, before I installed it.

DON'T download this add-on if you are using Firefox version 11.0 on a Mac using Leopard or Snow Leopard, at least until they assure you they've come out with a version that is compatible. Once you start using this add-on it will screw up the functionality of the browser's bookmarks, menu bar, etc., and also cause it to freeze.

Great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon, but still have problems with the latest versions of Firefox. Hope it will be soon upadated.

Version 5 ??? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've been looking for something like this for ages. Trouble is I've just updated to FF 5.0. Is it going to be available for Version 5.0 soon?

Two Issues Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Two issues. One is that you can't change the folder where the notes are saved, as mentioned. Also, I think there is a conflict with All-in-One-Sidebar (which might not be Net Notes fault.) The "Tap side to show/hide sidebar" only works twice with NetNotes. After that, if you switch to another sidebar and then back, it will work again for two more taps.

Great. notes by domain to be the best.

Cool pluggin! However, I think the granularity of notes tied to each page is a bit much for me. It would be nice to have the option to tie notes to a domain rather than each page on site.

Downgrade Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon but could you please provide functionality also for firefox 2.0? For some reason i am not able to upgrade Firefox beacuse i loose other addons. I`ve tried any solution i culd think off.

Good but not perfect!

The shortcut to open the window gets broken sometimes (you have to change and restart FF to make it work again). There's no indicator that shows you an existing note - you have to open the window.

Nice in combination with XMarks because of synchronizing the notes. Though I switched to 'QuickFox Notes' - it's better for me to organize notes instead of open and check a site.

The "choose folder" option is broken. It would be nice, if this cold be fixed, because otherwise the "Unsorted Bookmarks" get cluttered up with Net Notes Bookmarks.

Modifiying the shortcut needs a restart to make the changes have an effect. The default shortcut is "Cmd + N" is nonsense, because it opens a new FF window.

But apart from that, it's a nice and useful addon. 3 stars for now, 5 stars when those issues get fixed.

Great extension but:
1) Folders not working
2) Always shows the last comment if the current site doesn't have one. (kinda confusing)
3) Change the fonttttttt!!! :P

Could use improvements Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works as advertised. There is no indication to alert the user that a note exists for the page being viewed. You could leave the notes textbox open all the time (very easy to toggle on/off) but it would take up space on the screen either on the side or bottom bar, so this is not practical. The directions (and the description actually) are a little vague as how to use it and need improvement. Making these changes would raise my rating to 5 stars for this add-on but as it is, I rate it a 3.

The "choose folder" option doesn't work.

Unable to choose folder Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Hi there,

I tried to change the folder where notes are saved if you don't have a website bookmarked. It defaults to the Unsorted Bookmarks. When I click the Net Notes options and try to pick a new folder, it won't do anything. I can pick Bookmark Toolbar, or Unsorted or Bookmark Menu but it will NOT let me click the "choose folder" option so that I can pick another folder. And I have no clue what that little button on the right side is for, it doesn't do anything for me, I thought clicking it would show a list of folders to choose from but it doesn't. Not for me anyhow.

And maybe you can explain this: often times I right-click the Install Addon button and pick Save Target As so I can save it to disk and then scan it first, then I double-click the .xpi file to install it. Works fine nearly all the time but it didn't for Net Notes. If I tried to install it manually by double-clicking the Net Notes.xpi file it says Firefox cannot install because it is not compatible with v3.5.2 but if I go back to your Net Notes extension page and click the button to do an auto-install it works. Why won't it work the other way, doing it manually?

If you could add the features of Quicknote it would be perfect, QN has 4 general purpose note tabs, what I am imagining is a fifth tab that incorporates the features of Net Notes.
