Nice and simple Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is indeed a simple but very useful add-on if you want Google calendar in Thunderbird. Works seamlessly, but needs internet.
Works in Thunderbird 52.3 despite the warning on the home page. Someone should update that plugin.
For Ubuntu, this will help you to make it work:
Not very useful Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This is nothing more than Google calendar the same as it is in any browser. I use Thunderbird expressly because it allows me to manage email on or offline. This is just the web page moved into TB and will not load if you are offline. Caldav is the only useful way to deal with Google Calendars in TB.
Toolbar icon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
After install the add on, the icon that apear in the toolbar it's static. I can't remove it or change it's position through the bar. I can't also find it location in the about:config.
Anyone have a solution?

Does not work since 2 months Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It was a great tool but since 2 months, I have the message "demande incorrecte" (bad request).
I have cleared all the cache, uninstall, install again but always this message
Cannot change default Google Calendar account Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have two gmail accounts, one personal and one for work. I accidentally logged into the wrong account, now it won't let me change it. If I try to log out or change the account, it opens up a link in my default browser, but doesn't let me change it within Thunderbird. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help, it keeps the same login info. Would be 5 stars if I could log in to the correct account.
EDIT: SOLVED by clearing the cache. Tools>Clear Recent History> Time Range to Clear: Everything.

Works great once I am logged in. For some reason EVERY time I open Thunderbird I have to log in to the calendar with the name AND password.
Appears to be Source of Not Responding Issues Rated 2 out of 5 stars
When this add-on works it's terrific. Since the advent of Thunderbird 38.0.0 in particular, however, it appears Google Calendar Tab is the source of the frequent "Not Responding" messages and delays I've been experiencing. If this annoyance can be remedied I'll happily boost my rating. Thanks in advance for checking into its performance and making the fix. This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Great add-on - And works with Sunrise Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This was a good add-on when I discovered it. Worked perfectly with google calendar and what not. It gave me always on access to my calendar post divorcing myself from the evil Outlook.
BUT THEN OMG AT 3AM I JUST THOUGHT WHAT HAPPENS IF i POINT IT AT SUNRISE WEB INTERFACE IN THE OPTIONS ?
WORKS PERFECTLY AS WELL !

How to switch calendar from agenda view to week view Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I recently installed the Google Calendar add on and I also noticed that IT WOULD ONLY DISPLAY THE AGENDA VIEW (as other reviews have previously stated). I fixed this (on Linux) by editing "~/.thunderbird/locymkyh.default/session.json" and changing:
NOTE: The '/locymkyh.default/' part of the path is uniquely generated for each user profile so yours will be different. Use the following command in a terminal to see yours:
find ~/.thunderbird -type d -iname '*.default'
Also, I don't know what "week-2+22889+22895+22892" means to google, but I don't think it matters. This change should at least get Google Calendar to switch from the mobile agenda view to the desktop week view. If you have problems then try removing "-2+22889+22895+22892". With and without the numbers worked for me.

Tasks are not showing up in Google Calendar when launched from Thunderbird.
From any browser it is showing up fine.

When using Google 2-step verification in the screen where you enter the google verification code there's a box to click that says "Don't ask for codes again on this computer", which does nothing. I get a code, enter it, and try to make is so I don't ever have to enter a code again and wallah, it fails. I have application specific passwords that this addon won't use at all so I rate this addon a 2 star.
Escaped Lightning, But... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I just spent three days trying to get Lightning to show anything at all, gave up, looked around and found this – my calendar appeared right after the restart! But count me in as another plea for adding Google Tasks... that would make it five stars for sure.
Update: Google Tasks Sync shows tasks in my email tab, but no in the calendar tab. That helps, but...

Won't let me change accounts. When I click "sign in with a different user" it launches into a browser window (outside of TBird) There seems to be no way to get it to use another account. Other than that, it works fine.
very nice but something changed Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am a very happy user of this addon, thank to this guy.Just one thing is still broken:I have managed three email adresses on thunderbird, with three google calendars as well but after these days, once I open one calendar account, if I try to add a new one (calendar account), it goes to the browser instead opening a new tab.
If you could fix it would be great indeed.
