Hi!
"EmailPicky 4" has some limitations and annoyances. Mainly the fact that it will not collect addresses that are already in any existing address book...
But this limitation has been removed in the add-on "EMail Address Crawler 3", so I switched to that! (It seems to be simply another version of the same software.)
Beside this, there is "tb_email_grabber 1.3", but it will only collect 'senders'. So it's not very useful.
All 3 add-ons work up to ver. TB52.*, but not in TB60.

does not collect emails.

Does a decent job at collecting mail adresses from most fields in IMAP folders (TO, FROM, BCC).

As advertised it does not collect a second time adresses that are already in any of your adresse books... I wish there were an option to bypass this check, and only not duplicate adresses in the current (destination) adresse book, that would be worth a fifth star !

Fast, easy. Just a problem with small domain name in email address. It seams to not recognize small domain name like @me.com or @ia.com. Maybe the same problem with composed one lie @som.qc.ca

This is based on the original 'Email Crawler' which is unfortunately limited up to TB v3. Several tests show that like-for-like against the same email collection this version doesnt select all eligible addresses matching the select criteria and for no apparent reason (whereas the original version does). Dont be fooled that just because you have a list generated that it is a COMPLETE list of all eligible addresses. (I have to stick to loading TB v3 portable when running an extract)

It isn't obvious that this will only extract NEW email addresses, that aren't already in any Address Book.

It would be great to have an option to extract NEW or ALL email addresses!

I was able to work around this by copying off all the Address Book files (a-book*.mab) in the Profiles folder. Then, I ran the utility to extract what I needed and got all addresses. I then saved that new Address Book, restored the other saved ones, and then added back this new Address Book. A lot of steps to get around a problem that could be simply coded around.

It doesn't seem to do what it says on the tin: if an email address already exists in another address book, it won't be imported.

I created a new address book for a group of addresses, and went through the instructions. EP4 told me 245 addresses had been added, but when I looked, it was empty? (And an error message said, "Contacts from remote address books are not shown until you search" - so I did, and it didn't!) So where are my addresses - are they anywhere? :-/

Compare your new emails with existing, EMailPicky won't create duplicate entry. But the message will show, ' xxx number of addresses added' because to confirm that those new messages are already in your address book, just to keep it simple. Thanks.

Worked great.

I had to install thunderbird on a new pc and looking for old e-mail address was a real drag (looking for old e-mails, then copy and paste the mail address before i could send it). I desperatly needed to have auto-complete old addresses on. I just installed the add-on. Was a bit skeptic due to other reviews. I had all addresses in under a minute on four e-mail accounts. Just Brilliant !!!! Thank you very much for this add-on. Would give 6 starts if it was possible.

This extension is allright - just it should essentially be possible to search the email body - bounce mails often come from the postmaster and the mailaddresses in question are in the bouncemailbody only.
Is that true?

Works fine for me, even on IMAP account, and offers quite a lot of options (only TO, FROM, CC etc).

Tried this with IMAP. Says it collected 1 address. But I have hundreds, and no address is actually added.

very useful and long awaited up-to-date plugin. it works with pop3 accounts, although displayed count of addresses added differs from count of addresses actually added. With imap accounts results seems not deterministic. Worth to keep on testing and updating.
