Thunderbird and SeaMonkey in the SAME computer Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's not a review, but a consult: I wish to have the same addresses books for Thunderbird and Seamonkey (I use both of them IN THE SAME COMPUTER) and daily updated for both applications.
It's feasibility isn't clear to me and how to do it. Thanks in advance.

Do a local sync to the same local folder

Very good addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As previous user recommended, I sync 2 pc's with a shared dropbox account using a file in dropbox (few hundred kb). Now my contacts are always always synced on the two pc's.

Brilliant add-on. I use it to upload/download my address book to/from my Dropbox folder, and so copy my address book to all my copies of Thunderbird on different laptops.

Muss also wieder kompatibel gemacht werden. Bis dahin deinstalliert.

Quite a good tool, although as far as I can see it does not the second (alternative) email address of my contacts.
Has anyone noticed that too?
Note: I'm using IMAP sync.

Does not sync. Just uploads and downloads. Will upload all address books but only downloads the two default Thunderbird address books! UGH!!! Almost useless.

Doch kompatibel zu Thunderbird 9.x ... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nachtrag:
=======

Läuft in 10.x

system : XP Pro, family, Seven.
quelqu'un a une solution ?
merci

Thunderbird 8 Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thunderbird 8 doesn't disable the plugin (version 1.0.3) but it doesn't work more with XML processing error alert:
"Undefined entity
address: chrome://addressbookssync/content/options.xul
row 117, column 9

Super!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thunderbird 7 - Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thunderbird 7 will disable the plugin if you are using version 1.0.0, if you download version 1.0.2 from the author's support page and manually install, it still works as advertised!

I have uploaded a new version. If you can't wait download it from my website.

V1.0.2 works for TB V6.0! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Grosse lacune! Huge flaw! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This plugin is really filling a gap, but there is still a huge problem with it: there is no option to merge two different address books...
Due to this I just completely overwrote some of my contacts!!!

The auto download function does not sync the local copy, it only sync when I select the download command manually. Maybe its a bug!
I got it working after I selected the option "Don't skip up-/download based on timecheck.
Good Job!

Super => evolution Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It currently does not work correctly with OSX mail. When you install T-Bird it recognized you have a Mac address book and creates a new book that correctly imports your contacts. Synchronizer does not see this address book. It only sees Personal and Collected. No matter what I did, I could not make this plug in work in OSX. Works fine in windows.

Using with IMAP. No problems! Short of an actual contacts sync solution, this extension works very well.

This is the perfect add-on for those wanting to maintain address books between different PCs, and it is manna for those who want to avoid giving contact information to Google et. al. despite privacy promises.

I've been looking at automated export options to different address book formats to accomplish the same thing. Mr. Gersdorf created exactly what I needed without having to mess with all that. Well done!

Great Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Please people, just read what this add-on does and don't complain about things it is not intended for.

If you have multiple instances of Thunderbird running (mostly on different computers) and you want to have the same address book on all these instances, then this add-on is just perfect for you. If you add an entry on one machine the most current version of your address book is stored (in a file, on IMAP, etc.) and downloaded on your other TB instances.

It's not for exporting your address book in various formats, or anything else - but that's just fine. It does what it says and it works perfect. Thanks for the effort!

Please add vcard export format Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I tried it and it appears that it only exports address books in the .mab (Mozilla Address Book) format. I need to export in the .vcs (vcard) format as that's what my iPod classic (5th gen) will read. I use the :More Functions for Address Book" add-on available at https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/morecols-en.html. Otherwise it has lots of options for downloading and uploading. The address books I selected uploaded to the folder I set it to just fine.
