Bugzilla for needed WebExtension support? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension will be a major loss of the XUL ecosystem. It sounds like the developer would port to WebEx if the required capabilities were available - if there's a ticket for this I can upvote, I'd love to know what it is.

My hat is off to DW-dev, has done superb work with this for many years, including trying to implement similar functionality within the available WebEx world, but the WE 'version' is really a tiling window manager within the browser and really not the same animal...

Great tool Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great tool to organize as many tabs as one would want, definitely in my all-time top-5 add-ons.

Used to work really well, having problem in FF55 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This used to work really well, never had any problems with it.

Recently updated to FF55 on Windows 10 and changing tabs will not repaint the screen (so changing tabs will display the previous tab).

STR:
1. Disable all other plugins aside from Tile Tabs (optional)
2. Open several tabs pointing to different pages
3. Switch between tabs
4. Notice how the selected tab has changed but the browser still displays the previous tab

UPDATE: Bug has been fixed, changed rating to 5 stars

One of the best add-ons Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is by far one of the best add-ons ever developed for a web browser. It makes Firefox outstand over the competitors, there's nothing similar right now on the web. I hope you guys will continue to develop and support this add-on in future, thank you!

Almost great Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This is a great plug-in but the bug that messes with the tabs is too annoying. I have to uninstall it because I have been struggling to work with this bug. I even thought it was the browser and only to find that it is this plugin. Sorry guys great work but this has done it for me because it makes the whole browser to be useless. And I see now fix or update.

Newtab issue still present Rated 3 out of 5 stars

"Problem with focusing urlbar in about:newtab page." still present in Nightly 56.0a1 (2017-07-08) (64-bit).
This one is a extremely annoying bug though haha.
The earlier reported issues with Nightly seem to be resolved.

EDIT: Huge render problems still there. Switching tabs doesn't seem to work. After lots of clicking a black box appears in a tab with the right content just showing a bit to the right of it.

Must be the same problem as reviewer "Lery" is having.

(Tried reinstall of add-on.)

Fixed in Version 14.10

Focusing the urlbar in 'about:newtab' pages has been a problem in recent versions of Tile Tabs when used with the latest versions of Firefox. A similar problem exists in recent versions of Tile View.

This problem is fully fixed in Tile Tabs 14.10 and Tile View 6.7, which will both be released in a couple of days.

new bug on FF55 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm on 55 beta channel, and this addon will screw up the tab switch(clicking other tabs doesn't actually change it, the page will remain as the lastest one).
Great addon, but this bug is just...

Amazing Addon that I couldn't Live Without Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can't live without Tile Tabs. It has increased my workflow (I run my own PC repair business & am a website developer) by a quantifiable 30% when working inside a browser. I can't heap enough praise on Tile Tabs. I have three monitors and usually up to 15 different tabs running on the screen, without Tile Tabs I'd have to run multiple windows and choke my RAM and CPU even more. But with Tile Tabs, I can have multiple layouts and webpages within webpages. I'm not kidding when I say the only reason I haven't moved to Chrome because of how indispensable Tile Tabs is to me. Tab Mix Plus is amazing too. Keep up the amazing work.

Отличное расширение Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Мне очень нравится это расширение, оно удобно для работы. Можно работать с разными вкладками одновременно и наблюдать процессы в них. Рекомендую всем, у кого многозадачная деятельность.
Спасибо разработчику !

Shrink-to-Fit Zoom issue Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Shrink-to-Fit Zoom feature is intended to shrink "the web page in the selected tiled tab to fit the tile width", but in recent versions it shrinks all the other tabs with the same domain in adress.
Is it possible to remember zoom factor only for the tiled tab/tabs when pressing 'Ctrl + <' ?

Has always worked like this ...

The Shrink-To-Fit zoom feature has always worked like this if Firefox's site-specific zoom option is enabled.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One of the view must have addons.
To the author: have there been any contacts with Mozilla to support this functionality with webextensions? I have seen Tile Tabs WE and it way far from this addon.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (14.9).

May be supported in future ...

Tile Tabs WE has the same basic objective as the original Tile Tabs - to display multiple web pages in a tiled layout. Tile Tabs WE works differently to the original Tile Tabs, because using the WebExtensions API's, it is not possible to display multiple pages simultaneously within the same browser window.

There have been contacts with Mozilla and there is an intention to support this requirement, which would allow a new WebExtensions add-on to be developed that is more similar to the original Tile Tabs.

great addon, but miss a key functionality Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like very much this addon, because improves a lot the browser functuonality, but i miss a lot something, that i consider a key functionality to convert it into a must have addon.
It would just perfect if there were and option to open links on a litled tab, and had the option to assign a shorcut or a default tile to open the links, this would improve the web navigation a lot.

Great idea, execution could be improved. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I think that adding a "tutorial" when you install the add-on would improve the experience a lot. Many people (including me) will not want to spend time trying to figure out how to set up a tiled tab through trial and error. The way I thought the add-on would work was: I have a bunch of tabs open and would like to see multiple ones at the same time, so I click the tile tab manager and it asks me which tabs to tile, then asks what layout I want for these tabs. Again, great idea and fantastic feature set, but needs a little more focus on the user experience.

Comparing side by side is useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm studying German and with this addon I can have my list of german words on one side and my online dictionary at the other side. Really great!

Indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Me gusta mucho este complemento. Lo llevo usando bastante tiempo; todavía no he encontrado un fallo ni nada raro.

Cool Add-On, Worth Installing!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

good add-on. well executed. super easy to customize the functionality.

I would REALLY like to see the ability pin/lock a tab, so that it remains visible while changing other tabs. (eg. A Spotify tab that is always visible at the bottom, while the top tile displays selected tab/new tab/etc.)

Edit: Awesome! thanks for the quick reply DW-dev!!

Both Tile Tabs and Tile View can do this ...

If you want to have the same tab always in one tile, and you want the tab in another tile to change whenever you select a tab, then enable these settings in the Tile Tabs Options dialog:

- Assign tab to active tile when untiled tab selected.
- Assign another tab when tiled tab closed.

In addition, you can also use the ‘Tab Lock’ button in the 'Properties' panel of the first tile to prevent its tab accidentally being unassigned.

There is also a companion add-on called 'Tile View', with a slightly different paradigm and fewer features, which always works in the way you have described.

Nice one, but F12 is belongs to Dev tools Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Seems like useful add-on, but you shouldn't change functionality of F12, it's belongs to Developer tools.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (14.9).

New/Close Layout shortcut is configurable ...

The 'New/Close Layout' shortcut is configurable in the Tile Tabs options dialog, but on installation it defaults to F12.

And, of course, Ctrl+Shift+I is an alternative shortcut for Developer Tools.
