A great loss with Firefox 53 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of my most used apps. I hope someone can fix it!

Flashblock

Great - but v1.5.18.1 blocks Silverscript for Amazon Instant Video and Netflix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I still rate this addon a wonderful 5 stars -I can open multiple tabs without all the video news, etc. items running- but
I couldn't run MS Silverscript with Amazon Prime Instant Video in July, 2015 with the latest Flashblock 1.5.18.1 loaded as a Firefox addon - even disabled: I had to actually remove Flashblock from Firefox (not just disabled and grayed-out) before Silverscript (which I had reinstalled to ensure it wasn't the problem) would run with Amazon PIV.
Actually, Amazon PIV gives you the option of running its videos with Adobe Flash if Silverscript won't run and at my low-speed broadband it runs at 480p and Flash provides a much better 720x480p near-DVD quality picture than Silverscript for me, so it's not a problem at home (I reinstalled Flashblock) until I upgrade my ISP. Since Chrome won't run Silverscript, one alternative is to run Amazon PIV in Internet Explorer which has no problem running Silverscript for me.
I discovered this problem with Flashblock after googling and discovering a bugzilla.mozilla.org thread from early in 2015 where Netflix users were having the same problem with Silverscript with the same 1.5.18.1 version of Flashblock.

Blur

Blocking access to logins/comments Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I used Do Not Track Plus successfully for several months and then it began to affect my ability to login to some sites (a minority of those I use), like Forbes.com and finance.yahoo.com, where logging in with Yahoo! or Facebook ID's is permitted, or it simply would not allow me to go to certain comment boards. Clicking on "Allow" in DNT+ and reloading the page solves the problem each time. I'm loaded with anti-virus programs (USA Today did an article on my setup) and the DNT problem is months old so I don't think it's an infection but it may be related to some other Firefox addon - I use many of them. Or it may be due to some new URL programming steps.

PDF Download

Won't work with FF4 on some sites Rated 1 out of 5 stars

In the past, I've loved this - but with Firefox 4 it blocks pdf files from certain sources. I couldn't get S&P stock reports (pdfs) to download on E*Trade, tried playing with settings and then wondered about problems with addons. When I checked this page and saw others had problems, I disabled PDF Download and, voila, I can download the pdf files again.
I hope the maker fixes the bug since the options allowed by this addon are nice. I'm sending this same info to the maker's website.

KeyScrambler Personal

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I spoke too soon!
My last post written too soon. I've have a problem saving files from Firefox.
On the 3rd day running Keyscrambler 2.6 (downloaded from the makers website, http://www.qfxsoftware.com/) I ran into a problem saving files. The Firefox "save as" window would save the file and later show the file was there, Downloads would show it downloading and having downloaded, but any attempt to access the file from within the browser resulted in file not found. Using My Computer or Windows Explorer showed no such file where Firefox indicated it was saved. On one occasion, I renamed a test save something like "avast-new.exe" and the file was saved except the "-new" was replaced by encryption-like nonsense so "avast8d\f.exe" was saved. I toggled Keyscrambler off and even uninstalled it and still had the problem. I used Firefox's "save as" window to delete the "phantom" files I had saved in case they had been actually saved under scrambled names. I uninstalled keyscrambler, uninstalled Firefox (but left the personal data intact when ask) and reinstalled Firefox and it's fine now with all the other addons, bookmarks, etc. intact. I'm wary of using keyscrambler again!

Download Statusbar

Superb & Space Saving Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As one with slow DSL, It's perfect to keep track of download progress while surfing. Also, I've begun layering antivirus programs and learned that one can assign which AV program does the end-of-download scan: right-click on "Downloads" at the left end of the Status bar, then Options, Virus Scan, Manually scan [it's still automatic], etc.

KeyScrambler Personal

Should Be Standard On Browsers! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What a great program - no keylogger can read my passwords, credit card numbers, etc!!! As others say, go to http://www.qfxsoftware.com/ and download the latest version. I put it through the paces over a few hours and saw none of the reported problems: I had no problem with slowness, problems developing over a few hours, or saving files with whatever name I wanted, etc. on a modest 1.8 GHZ 512MB Win XP computer. Hopefully the flawlessness will continue!

RDown - Rapidshare Downloader

Here's fix that works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

jlaki posted a fix for 3.6 that works for me in a Feb. 4 "review" on this page. I downloaded the fix from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?znwjmljhfwm

Run Firefox, then select File, then Open File..., click on it wherever you stored it, and Firefox will recognize it as an addon.

Thanks jlaki!

RDown - Rapidshare Downloader

Please make 3.6 update! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really miss this with Firefox 3.6 and am considering going back to Firefox 3.5 if there's not an upgrade soon. Since Rapidshare is notorious now for no open slots, it's fantastic to be able to queue several Rapidshare files together and have the 2 min. wait period automatically checked over and over and then automatically downloaded.

RDown - Rapidshare Downloader

Excellent! This is really a great tool for "free" Rapidshare users. You don't have to remember to retry every 2 min. if there are no available slots and one list sets up multiple automatic downloads. Make a copy of your list with Word or Notepad though!
