One of the best tools for FF users looking for downloading online videos. I have been using it for many years.
For the past few days I am noticing that it's not working on Youtube anymore. Please fix it soon!
This add on has been dysfunctional for long time... may be 1 or 2 years!!!
Their Chorme add on the other hand works just fine.
Evernote should just remove it as they are not maintaining it.
One of my favorite add on.
But it's not working after FF29 update.
Please fix it and instruct how to use it with the new FF user interface.
Yes, now it's working after upgrading to V4.9.10.
It generally auto-updates, why wasn't it auto-updating from V4.9.9?!
But as it's working now, thank you again!
It's not working with Youtube for past few weeks.
I thought it may be because of some change in Youtube and will be resolve by the next update of DownloadHelper. But still waiting...
Please resolve this issue, or else people would just move to some other download assistant for Firefox.
I was hoping that I would able to move Google Reader Link on the top bar with Gmelius.
But I can't....
I don't want Google Play, News, Youtube etc on the top bar but the Google Reader link.
Ability of customizing the top links' sequence would be great.
If that feature is added I would come back and give it a five star!
What this does is very essential for many people but after there has been a vacuum after Google discontinued it's Notebook. So thanks for bringing it back! It will be a hit in the long run. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.0).
Great! It's a much needed one for Youtube users.
For GreaseMonkey users, there is a script called http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/122876 which does the same. Although graphically it's not as neat as Janus.
Please add tree management and auto-hide and it would be a major hit!
One of the most useful add-on I have come across recently! It has just everything I need. And it syncs with Xmarks without any extra setup! It's just fabulous!
Only one thing that I could wish is the ability to strike through words. That would be really helpful for Todo-lists.
Hat's off to the developers!
I used to use Tabkit which is developed no more.
And this is perhaps the best alternative!
By the way, after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1 the appearance look a bit different! And the gallery button is missing.
Here is a screenshot of what I mean:
I can't find it in the option.... Is there a way to get it back?
Please update it for Firefox 9.0.1This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.6).
What is this?!!
Tried this one twice and had to go back to the old Classic version. Which is slow but at least works!
It seems like the developers don't care!!
Tabkit seems to be emerging in a fast, lightweight and most importantly, regularly updated add-on called TabUtilities.
I requested for adding the Tabkit like vertical tabbing feature-set to TabUtilities as it’s already very popular tab related add-on.
And the author has listened and added vertical tab feature on it’s trial version!
It’s already looking quite promising... it does not have all the features of Tabkit yet but you can request it’s author for the essential features that you need for vertical tabs. The author Ithinc is very active and I think he would add if your requested feature is useful and in high demand are useful and in high-demand.
You can install trial add-on with vertical tabs here:
The option for vertical tabs can found under “Appearance”. You need to set it “Tab-bar” to left or right.
The Tab-grouping is not yet there but if you request he might add it.
You can request for the Tabkit features that you would like to have in TabUtilities here:
Please be specific about the features that you would like have.
I am another hardcore (and now frustrated ) fan of Tabkit.
I have been trying to push for this functionality to be integrated in already popular, lightweight and very frequently updated tab enhancing add-on TabUtilities.
The author of TabUtility might add it if he finds that it has enough demand.
If you guys want that to happen it would great if you vote and add your comments here on UserVoice :
You can find more details here:
Please Please Please add Vertical Tabs with auto grouping!
Then it would become indispensable!!
To the developer:
You should add vertical tabs. there are thousands of of Tab Kit users ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-kit/ ) who would adopt to it.
Superb add on! I have been waiting for it for long time!
Best for people who want to make most of the display 'real estate' or who prefer minimal look.
If you are interested, this is how my Firefox looks after using it: http://i55.tinypic.com/eqxw0h.jpg
Neat. So far the best replacement for TabKit as it's not compatible with FF4.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.11.2011021901).
Looks neat on FF4, but tt's always occuping the left side!!
It should have the option to auto collapse.
I have been using Tabkit for quite sometime, sadly it does not work with FF4 so I had to install this one. Tabkit is the most popular vertical tab add on so far, just take the best features from it as it's not developed regularly.
Great add on!
I think it would replace 'Save Image/File in Folder' add ons, they are quite similar and have been almost indispensable to me. But you need to add the folders manually in these add-ons... and for file and images there are separate add ons....
What I really like about 'Save File to' add-on is that it lists all the sub folder automatically. It also remembers the recent folders. Overall, it's a really well thought and useful add-on.
Only one thing I am missing, it adds auto-incremental numbers to the saved files if the filename already exists, which might create some duplicate files. It would be great if there is an option to open the 'save file' dialog box in case the filename already exist.
