My Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This used to be a good, fairly non-invasive add-on, but since they added the email feature it has become more annoying than ads. Goodbye, good riddance.

In response to the question below:
No. I didn't use the email feature. I don't want to use the feature. I'm not interested in the feature. I wanted a tracker-blocking add-on, and DoNotTrackMe was excellent at that. The constant pop-ups for the email masking feature were annoying. let me make that crystal clear, in case I haven't already:
****The pop-ups from the new email-masking feature were so annoying that I unsinstalled the add-on and left this rating/review/feedback for you.****

"Easily disabled in settings"???? I could no longer even GET to the settings without registering.

Email masking might be a useful feature. It'd probably make a nice INDEPENDENT add-on. You know, one that I could CHOOSE to add if I wanted it.

Themed Button for Linux

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very nice. How about adding custom color though?

clear the search bar

Essential for Linux build Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was getting really aggravated with the way the previous search 'stuck' in the search bar in the Firefox Linux build, forcing me to clear it before typing a new search.
This add-on may not have been created with the purpose of fixing that annoyance, but it definitley does the job.
And it's perfect for its intended purpose as well. Great idea; smooth and lightweight implementation.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really dug this little add-on. Does its one thing very well, without bloat. Simple, lightweight, and effficient - everything you want from an add-on.

I've now switched to Linux though and unfortunately this doesn't work with FireFox' Linux GUI. I'll miss you ColorizedButton! I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Webpage Editable Switch

Does Exactly What it Says Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does exactly what it says. Nothing more, nothing less. No frills, options, or additional features. It simply adds a button (shown above) that turns document body contentEditable on or off. If that's what you need (and all you need), here it is.

Broken? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Not sure what it's supposed to do. No documentation included. No options available for the add-on.
It adds a button to the status bar that, when clicked, pops up a small, blank window.

Share Button for Facebook™

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simple, unobtrusive and functional. best Facebook submitter add-on I've found.

Customize about:newtab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice, simple, purely aesthetic add-on. Small glitch: ok button doesn't seem to work, but settings do take effect - just close the options window.Would be nice to have options in the context menu on the about:newtab page - I almost overlooked the icon. (EDIT: this has been fixed)

Update: Windows 7 home premium Firefox 14.0.1m Customize about:newtab 1.0.1Really nothing to screenshot - on the add-ons page, click the options button for the extension ...clicking the ok button highlights the button only. Changes ARE made on click., but have to close the window manually. It works as expected (ok button effects changes AND closes window) using the icon on the about:newtab page.

Indispensable add-on now fixed!

Obsolete Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Sadly this is completely broken with google's recent changes. I'd forgotten how bad google had become ... now without this addon, I find myself wishing once again for a decent search engine option. :(

Phoglenix, please update this!

Context Style Switcher

Nearly perfect! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Exactly what I was looking for - 'no style' makes it so much easier to read many news sites and blog sites that force articles into newspaper-column sizes. The button in this addon makes it a lot simpler to switch styles. Thank you!

Indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Tab-addicted me can't live without this extension. One of the first I look for with a new FF install.

Remove Close Buttons from Tabs

No need? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Why an extension? Easy to set in about:config

Possible values and their effects

0 : Display a close button on the active tab only

1 : Display close buttons on all tabs (Default)

2 : Don’t display any close buttons

3 : Display a single close button at the end of the tab strip (Firefox 1.x behavior)

Brilliant Concept, Flawed Execution Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works fine in FF2, unfortunately the 'restore page' option is not obvious (the button is hidden way over on the right side) or intuitive, and any color changes persist for the entire session *across websites and across tabs* until that button is pushed. F5 and the normal FF reload page buttons do NOT revert the color changes.

An option for small icons would be nice too.
