It fixes a stupid decision made by Firefox designers Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for making this addon.
Firefox designers keep messing things up non-stop. Among the mess, there's many new design decisions that are good.
I don't mind any design decision. The thing I hate is when designers try to FORCE decisions on the user. There should always be an advanced settings panel to disable all these stupid concepts.
Stupid concept: Stopping me from setting the new tab to my homepage (google). And DISABLING me from setting it back to what I want. The only 3 default options are
1. To display "suggested" websites.
2. Display the websites the user visits the most.
3. A blank new tab. That is stupidity in my opinion.
NO OPTION TO BYPASS ALL THIS CRAP...
THANKS for making this addon!
Many add-ons I install now are to fix problems that the designers impose on the user with each update.
Creates blank icon files with no extension Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This used to be great.
Now every single download has the wrong file name or has no file name and it also creates a file with NO extension.
It's just a blank icon that I am forced to RENAME and add the extension to. With every single file I download!
Also, the "renaming mask" is not the solution here.
I only use Downthemall for it's ability to limit the download speed. So I can keep browsing while downloading stuff.
I've tried to solve this but so far I've found nothing. I will try Flashgot to see if it has a similar functionality without the naming and missing extension bug.

I only want it for the "MaskMe" functionality.
I'd say stop trying to also be LastPass. Focus on one thing.
I disabled the LastPass functionality you tried to kindly impose on me. But I wonder how long will it take for you to make it mandatory.
I've seen this same disappointing pattern in many companies.

This addon is great. I don´t know who the genius is, making all these changes to firefox, but addons like this one fix the stupid things that mozilla developers are doing.
Everytime the addon is updated, the "new tab URL" is changed back to about:newtab. Which sends me to the speed dial, which I hate. I suggest it didn't.
Once the user has set their preference. It is annoying to have to set it back every time the addon is updated automatically.
This is a great little tool. Thank you.
Since I don't know how to reply. I'll just add something here.
Thank you for your reply. And thanks for creating this addon. After posting this I saw that other users had asked the same thing. Sorry for contributing to the noise. Cheers!
"Refinements" function cannot be disabled and it behaves like adware/spyware Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I love this addon, but the google "REFINEMENTS" option is impossible to disable. You can disable it only temporarily, then it resets itself, just like spyware and viruses do. I guess it has to do with the bussiness model they have, but it is not acceptable at all.
It's a shame, because the addon works wonderfully and it's uninstrusive. I can download 1080p videos from Youtube with no problems.

It does nothing.
Should clearly say that it is saving passowrds and login info Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I installed this because I had it before, but it was integrated with donottrackme and I trusted the developers.
But after installing it in a new windows installation, I noticed that logins were automatically filled by some program. I did not know this plugin did this. I thought it just masked the emails. I used that functionality, but I do NOT trust this company or any other company with passwords and login info. I use keepass for that.
I think the developers should highlight and point out very clearly that this is saving your online accounts information. Because right now it's gathering that info and saving it in some server without stating it upfront.
This is a strange change in your product. I do not want it anymore.
Latest version is a downgrade Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I loved this extension until a few days/weeks when you made significant changes.
Keefox no longer fills/detects many forms that the previous version handled perfectly (deviantart, kickasstorrents, discus, etc). The new GUI is confusing for me. It got annoying suddenly. I had to manually enter the login info to submit this comment.
I hope you fix it because LastPass is suddenly looking great again. I love the integration with keepass (having the passwords in my PC and all) but this new iteration no longer works at least in my experience. Thanks.
EDIT (After reply from developer):
The integration didn't seem to change. It was the form detection, I think. And it did change immediately after that last update.
I want to point out that I'm no longer a user of this addon, nor keepass. I moved back to LastPass. For the really important passwords I will simply keep them in my computer.
Thank you for replying.
Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is perfect. Keep it up!
Firefox developers' mission seems to be "Let's get all our users to hate Firefox, people! We will accomplish this by braking everything that works and confusing them in their everyday use of our product by moving things around and/or hiding them." I still use it because I hate chrome.

I read my review after receiving your reply. It sounded more like a rant, and it contained points that did not belong here. Like the part about the random IP. Sorry for that. And the Ads thing is understandable. I just hate Ads with a passion, personal opinions.
Now, regarding my only objective problem with the add-on. I do not think it counts as a mere bug to be only reported directly to you.
I think it could be a pain in the ass for other less-experienced users. I was stuck even after I restarted Firefox many times. Google Hong Kong gave all kinds of crazy results. I was forced to use Chrome (I hate it). So I could find out how to reset the proxy settings. It took almost no time, but I did have to fix it manually. So that is why I post it here.
I'm using Windows 7 x64 and Firefox 23.0.1. I have 19 add-ons installed.
Thanks a lot for sharing your work. Cheers!
