About sessionstore

Was great, still useful, but no longer displays tab information Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This was a great add-on; it is still useful, but it no longer displays tab information in Firefox 36.0, and I think v35, and maybe even v32 too. Please fix this for us!

Link Queue & Preview Sidebar

Please update! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a good idea - I just came up with it too and went looking for an add-on that queued up links that was already built and usable, but this needs updating for Firefox 22. (Does not install, and if I force it to install Firefox does not open.)

Autofill Forms

Not easy to use Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I only tried it for 5 or 10 minutes so take this with a pinch of salt, but it did not seem easy or convenient to use, did not save the form values I entered, and when I asked it to complete a form it selected a checkbox that I did not select when I last submitted the form. Another add-on called Form History Control seems to do much more want I was after.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.9.0.1-signed).

XUL Profiler (by yoono)

This is a really useful Firefox add-on! Even for non-developers who just want to disable JavaScript on CPU hogging sites like (as I've just discovered techcrunch.com, which calls http://www.facebook.com/plugins/recommendations.php and that uses tons of CPU especially if you had it open in 3 tabs like I did!) I used NoScript to disable scripts on that site (mark it as Untrusted) and Adblock Plus to disable that facebook URL in case I visit other sites that use it (a dead cert). More developers should use this tool to check if their javascript hogs the processor! And more users should vote with their feet by disabling javascript on sites that use too many processor cycles!

This add-on is published to only work on Firefox versions up to 3.6a1pre, but actually works fine on e.g. 3.6.13. You need to use MR Tech Add-On ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/421/ ) to allow the installation. It would be useful if you guys could update the add-on!

Thanks guys! Thanks to you I also discovered what was causing Firefox 3.6 (didn't seem to affect older versions) to get really slow when I have lots of tabs open: the saveState part of the Crash Recovery feature!

Some suggestions to the authors though:
1. update the spec so it will more easily run on new versions of Firefox.
2. make it easier to identify the website and URL (and copy that information to the clipboard) that a javascript function call comes from.
3. make it possible to identify the tab that is doing the javascript function call, preferably with a GoTo button.
4. possible integration with NoScript and Adblock Plus if installed to block javascript functions you don't want executing (via URLs).
