What I like about this add-on is, that it provides the user with further information about which trackers are on their heels and that one can deny or allow each single tracker. I don’t know if Ghostery really detects each tracker on each website (is this even possible?), but it gives me a fairly secure feeling, that I cover most of them with this add-on.
A tiny critique: If I disable a newly detected tracker, this setting seems only to work when loading the respective website a second time and not immediately after altering the setting.
Anyway – I like this add-on very much and would like to thank you for the time and effort it took you to program this one!
I recently was having virus-related problems with my computer with some weird online-activities I wanted to research in more detail. Unfortunately my Firefox History had been deleted (maybe because of the infection?) and I couldn’t do the research. That’s why I was looking for something exactly like this add-on. I already tried it out and for me it worked just fine.
It’s very easy to work with and the available preferences (folder, file-type/-format) are coherent without being unnecessarily overdrawn.
Thank you very much for your time and effort in programming this add-on!
After installing, the count-button always showed zero tracking. Maybe there are settings to show which trackers has been blocked, but I didn’t found those options (there was only a very long list which ones are generally prevented). As I am suspicious by nature ;-)) and therefore wanted to be sure that this add-on worked, I installed another add-on for tracker-prevention (Ghostery). Sorry to say this, but as DNT+ showed zero tracking, Ghostery showed something different and in addition it showed which trackers were on my heel, which imo was more believable. So DNT+ didn’t work for me and I am going to uninstall it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
