Please repeat ? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I haven't understood the start of the beginning of the purpose of this add-on.
I am indeed a fool.
This new version is, is ... wow! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Yet Another Smooth Scrolling latest 3.1.0 is boosted, amazingly swift, so powerful I had to reduce previous settings. Power and grace, like a racing car when it halts and the chassis sort of rocks :) This is almost a sensual pleasure adapted to scrolling. Once you've used this add-on without it makes you feel like driving in a desert. This is moving on a highway.
No longer confusing ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
' New Tab Wallpapers' version 13.15.63 now displays selected background image even with thumbnails hidden. It does it perfectly and I consider this is a necessary feature given the purpose of this add-on.
I have been using up to now a similar add-on called 'Customize about:newtab', but the advantage of 'New Tab Walpapers' is IMO :
1- Allows selecting a Web image ;
2- The project's Todoes, random wallpapers and automatic wallpaper switch, is innovative and IMO a true pleasure for users as myself spend a lot of time on the computer with Firefox.
So, a fine add-on with its definitely own character. It may seem to some users to be pushy to elaborate on details but, are they truly details and, well, if something is done I believe it has at least the importance of being carried out in extenso. No doubt 'New Tab Wallpapers' is in the lot, regularly updated and the feeling its developer is of those who likes to advance in the project.
Nice work. I guess thanks is not required :)
Confusing ... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Clicking on the square icon to the upper right of that New Tab page hides the thumbnail pictures and your choice is remembered even after you restart Firefox. Problem is, it also hides your background image.
Note that the square icon remains displayed – if you click it again the thumbnail pictures will reappear on New Tab pages. As well as your background image.
The developer is racing after updating his add-on, but doesn't seem to be willing to consider having the background maintained when the thumbnails are hidden.
Excellent Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very nice work, thanks a lot.
Like already stated, old 'Extended Link Properties' revived, different child, same aims, done better even IMO.
Paste and Go (or Search) not working with 'Search Ste' 3.1 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Just found out the 'Paste and Go' (or Search)' is blocked (only paste) with latest 'Search Site' 3.1. No idea if it was with version 3.0, but it wasn't with version 2.1 which I've used since always ...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.1-signed).
Latest TMP Dev build 0.4.0.4pre.120724 seems OK, indeed Rated 5 out of 5 stars
tab_mix_plus-0.4.0.4pre.120724a.xpi at https://bitbucket.org/onemen/tabmixplus/downloads (latest working version) seems to works fine here as well as others have mentioned. There is in TMP forums another "non official DEV build update" (that is, an update to the official latest DEV 0.4.0.4pre.120724a) labeled 0.4.0.4pre.120724b which here does not work at all. Sticking on the developer's latest Dev build seems to be the right choice at this time.
Just one word to Firefox users (hi, there!) who declare that they'd be about to leave Firefox for another browser on the basis of one add-on not working right on latest Firefox : I am stunned to read that. It's like quitting a girl-friend because of her new haircut :) Gosh, if you like her, and/or Firefox, keep it goin', man :)
Version 2.0.7 Released June 26, 2011, still in sandbox. Why? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Version 2.0.7 Released June 26, 2011, is still in sandbox.
1- Why, please?
2- Which to choose, 2.0.6 or 2.0.7 ? I think this is the first time I observe a 17 months' sandbox closet.
Before installing, I'll rate this add-on with a neutral+1 : 4 stars.
Kourou, we have a problem ... EDIT: fixed with ver. 1.4 (sandbox at this time) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
EDIT: Version 1.4 fixed 1.3 issue -- Thanks to the developer for this x-ttra fast update. We remain on orbit :)
A problem with ASB 1.3 only.No icons, no link in Firefox menus, unable to run therefore.Could be related to incompatibility with another add-on since other users here have not called the space center to mention this incident :)Hope you copy me on the ground. Roger.
Signing in only with Google/Facebook/Yahoo is nasty - EDIT Rated 5 out of 5 stars
EDIT (2) after developer's 2nd reply:
Increasing cookie lifetime to 6 months is appreciated. I'd visit QwickUp more than 2 times a year but maybe less than once a month. Depends.
Be it here or for whatever cookie concerned website I admit I don't understand why it sounds like cookie duration is the object of a bargain ! On one hand we have the problem of sites abusing of tracking cookies and on another hand, when the cookie as here is necessary and pertinent, one has to strive to have it last more than a month !
Gosh -- Anyway, thanks for the developer's concern and, I repeat, QwickUp is really handy.
EDIT after developer's reply:
I made a mistake in this way that the cookie is valid longer than session (I didn't recall correctly my few months old last experience), but not in that the cookie's validity duration is restrictive: 1 month. QwickUp cookie I just got installed ends december 8th, 2012. One month is short. Why not have it like others at least a year, when not 10 :) Anyway, 1 month better than session only, so 4 stars (no, I don't mean to be arrogant!)
EDIT END ===
Saving your customizations on QwickUp requires signing in, and the site relies on Google, Facebook or Yahoo for this purpose. Not everyone has an account in either of the three above-mentioned and if they do some just don't like the method.QwickUp in itself is really nice, well-done, but its cookie will not remember settings after session. Consequently no QwickUp and therefore no QwickUp add-on. Really a pity.
Option to choose EPUBReader data folder would be appreciated Rated 4 out of 5 stars
EPUBReader allows to copy a downloaded EPUB file to another folder, but unfortunately lacks the user's choice to determine EPUB folder's location itself, stuck in user's Firefox profile.
I have my profile on a RAMdisk set to 64MB and current occupation is ~40MB. That will limit the number of downloaded EPUB files sooner or later.
Otherwise, brilliant add-on, fast, intuitive, elegant.
A word to user John Public Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm so terribly sorry. I've made you lose some precious time, and thanks for having spent it reading me twice !
Grammar or spelling? English is not my mother-tong, I try to do my best, I auto-check spelling with built-in dictionary, yet grammar remains far less formal, indeed.
World : please forgive me !
Besides that, happy to read you subscribe to the idea this add-on does make sens, which was the point, before the grammar ! I'm sure you have enough education to understand that.
Works again on Firefox 16.02 ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Same as user Lee_Dailey on mozillaZine forums ( http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=522643&start=450 ), "for some unknown reason the problem [expand/collapse arrowheads not working] has gone away. i have _no_ idea why!". That was the only issue I had, disappeared .. understanding why/how is beyond, beyond, far beyond !This review is for a previous version of the add-on (13.0.20120505.1-signed). Version 1.1 KO when 1.0 OK - EDIT: 1.1 OK Rated 5 out of 5 stars
EDIT of Original Post ---
Everything is fine, now. Thanks to the author for his quick reply.
I had been mislead by another add-on (Extension Options Menu 2.5) which has a drop-down menu for accessing add-ons options GUI when applicable.
With Colorlicious 1.0 this led to http://hpics.li/21f6b58
With Colorlicious 1.1 this led to http://hpics.li/500d9f3
The "Close" button and the transparency issue where related to the fact that Colorlicious Options GUI was not to be accessed this way.
Accessing Colorlicious 1.1 Options from AOManager Options leads to the correst GUI : http://hpics.li/6e5dca3
I copied color data then removed Colorlicious 1.0, restarted, removed Colorlicious 1.0 left-over in about:config
I installed Colorlicious 1.1, called Colorlicious options from AOManager ( http://hpics.li/6e5dca3 ) and from there pasted backuped colors : no problem
Looks like it was my mistake. Sorry for that. I like Colorlicious, handy, that's why I was a bit annoyed. Keep on it !
Original Post ---
Version 1.1 does not modify whatever item color, and calling preset renders default Firefox colors but none of the preset.Maybe is it because version 1.0 should have been removed first? Ver. 1.1 is introduced as 'No Restart' contrarily to ver. 1.0 if I remember well. Updating from Firefox AOManager called a restart the browser ...Moreover the GUI is, I'll be frank, lousy. There was already no close button on 1.0, now moreover half of the GUI is transparent. Looks more like modern art than as an option interface.Back to 1.0
A remark to user Dave Dockery Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Dave, if I was the author of this add-on, I'd be delighted to read your comment, assuming it would suppose you are already using DuckDuckGo as your default search engine here with Firefox.
Indeed, if DuckDuckGo is the default search engine, this add-on is less pertinent, even if IMO it still is useful, with direct access to major !Bangs, with instant first definition when applicable of a highlighted word with the right-click menu.
If DuckDuckGo is not the default search engine, then this add-on develops its full potential, by adding to above mentioned display of DuckDuckGo's 0-click box on Google and Bing search results page, along with link to DuckDuckGo's own full result page.
I see nothing but sense.

Added option in latest version 1.2 for using Google and TinEye as two separate context menu options is my pleasure, hoping it will accommodate other users' requirements as well (and I think it will). Thanks to the author for having taken the time to improve (IMO) an add-on which was already perfectly functional and which is now elaborated (always IMO of course!).The main thing, need to say, this version 1.2 works just fine, replacing my two previous add-ons with one, which was my wish, raised :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.1-signed). A fantastic add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm in any application, add-on, script which is committed to security and privacy. 'Adblock Plus' is a leader, always has been and always will be. Don't pay attention to users' comments when these are either obviously idiot or try to offend, in both case it remains in the scope of human diversity and, as such, is worth it :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed). Just fine here with Firefox 16.01 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
After having installed protocol 'Microsoft TCP/IP Version 6' from within XP-SP3, even though I remain at this time IPv4 restricted, SixOrNot allows me to discover when a website is "IPv6 ready". Not to mention "information about all the domains contacted in order to load the page" (which is my first motivation). Nice. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.3.1-signed).
Excellency Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Just an idea I propose : the option to choose what click opens the drop-down menu. Default is right-click. Also, the option to have the drop-down displayed on hovering the toolbar icon, together with server information already displayed. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124-signed).
I'm free ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
