Firefox vs Chrome and Edge Rated 5 out of 5 stars

... three things, Xmarks works great with all three browsers; however, I would suggest you decide which browser you'll commit to just to mention a few, it's my opinion that all three browsers can't have Xmarks working at the same time when switching from one browser to another; otherwise, you'll have the same problem I'm going through, the glitch began when I decided to download Chrome, why, when my Firefox was just working fine you might ask, but that's just me testing things out, I thought by having more than one browser it would solve some issues, but that's where problems began, Xmarks stopped syncing on Firefox, I can't even log-on, it works fine on Chrome and Edge, but I then discovered having duplicate bookmarks on all of my devices, there's no way getting around this and fixing it, other than reinstalling whatever OS you're currently using and making sure you don't repeat the same process, having one browser is the key; also, any application associated with Xmarks on any device uninstalling and reinstalling them will solve this issue; therefore, if there's a fix don't hesitate to share it, but I doubt it very seriously!

It's A shame, I'll have to switch to Chrome! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've used this excellent add-on for years and now Mozilla broke for well and good. This great app like many others was destroyed by the very platform it was designed for. It says it's updating: It's said that for the last 13 hours! Nothing has changed! The lure of Firefox was that we could do it our way: Now we can't... Kudos, Xmarks, see you on Chrome! I'm using the latest Beta; version 4.5.0.2a

xmarks works with Chromium Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Xmarks is alive and well. It seems that the firefox version may be updated eventually. Chromium has the majority of the market for browsers, so that's where you will find a working xmarks.

You could download the bookmarks in html format, compatible with firefox, and then use the Firefox equivalent to xmarks. The latter is not as good as xmarks.

All my favorites disappeared Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Shortly after running a new HP optimize, all my Firefox favorites were gone. Thought HP had done it until I noticed IE favorite still present. Tried to restore from xMarks but no response. It would have been nice to get a heads-up before going offline so I could back them up manually.

xmarks no longer works Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Xmarks is completely non-functional at this point.
As suggested by others, I tried the developer version of this addon, but it does not work for me.
There never was (and still isn't) any real cross-browser alternative to Xmarks.
Please fix this.

Almost good but the module ignores all the RSS feeds Rated 3 out of 5 stars

All the RSS feed urls are lost while synch with the version 4.5.0.2a.

4.5.0.1a stopped Firefox from loading Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I had to disable 4.5.0.1a because I couldn't get Firefox to to fully load. After I disabled it and restarted Firefox everything was fine.

Avoid, long time user reporting XM is broken, will truncate & delete backups Rated 1 out of 5 stars

4.5.0.2a was hoped to fix syncing problem, but it only truncates all your bookmarks. you will need to go to myxmarks and restore.

Dont WORK Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been a big fan of Xmarks for a long time, but I'm currently unable to synch my browser at work. My Xmark Setting status shows me as not logged in, but when I try and activate the login button there is no response. My Firefox browser (56.0.1(64 bit) is not synching, will not upload or download, will not "repair". I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Xmarks to no avail.

Like the user DeadlyOats (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/DeadlyOats/) has mentioned it, there is a fix for this.

Quote of his review:
"I had to go to xmarks Lastpass forums to look for a fix.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xmarks-sync/versions/beta?page=1#version-4.5.0.1a
Go there, and get the newest version, then install it, run it's set up, and the rest will be golden."

Get the last version of it (Version 4.5.0.2a - Released October 17, 2017) and everything will be fine !!!

Thanks DeadlyOats !!!

Virtually Useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Like a number of other addons at present, (NoSquint & Speed Dial) to name a couple, this addon is useless. It doesn't sync and yesterday caused all my bookmarks to disappear. I had to retrieve them from firefox restore. I remember when addons such as this used to be good, no longer the case...

Utterly Useless on Firefox Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Used it for almost ten years, but have gone with Firefox Sync and find it's a very good replacement as XMarks became useless to me when legacy support for passwords was deprecated.

have to leave FF and go with Chrome Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I had to make a decision whether to keep Firefox or the xmarks/lastpass addons. Well, these two addons work great on Chrome, so I made the decision not to have FF as my default browser. I don't know whos fault it is, but FF lost.

the beta version only worked for a while.
