No icon Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The quick switch part of the button (the dropdown) works, but the button has no icon and the addon does not detect existing tab groubs.

Conflict with another addon Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon conflicts with the addon Quick search bar (which stops working after installing this add-on).

The Best grouping tabs add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic ! I Exactly what i needed. Very useful e user-friendly. You can create group of tabs in an easy manner with drag-and-drop and move any tab from one group to another with a very simple GUI.

tutorial: how to repair your icon... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

1) close firefox
2) open the file "" with winrar or any other archive-program.
this file is located in "%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[...]\extensions".
3) open file "skin\tgs.css" in the archive and delete the following line:
list-style-image: url("chrome://browser/skin/tabview/tabview.png");
4) save it and enjoy!

Update 21-July-2014: Noticed a bug whereby when Firefox is launched every time after quitting it, the list is empty and says "No tab groups have been created". The list only shows after clicking on the Tab Group button, then leaving the Tab Groups view.
My comment reflects what Njol said here:

Previous comment:
I use tab groups on a daily basis ever since the feature was released in Firefox years ago. I can now easily switch between tab groups. Thank you so much!

With FF29 no icon anymore! :(
Can you fix this issue please?

Edit: Thanks flodo, Icon is fixed.
Now we need a fix for the empty list after start of FF! :)

very nice, but needs a few tweaks Rated 3 out of 5 stars

When switching tab groups, it defaults to the first tab in the group ... it should go to the last tab opened.

@geoff80 > All it really needs is an auto-sort option to put the Tab Groups in alphabetical order.
I very much agree.

@macnomad > it would be a good idea if you added the number count of how many tabs in each group
Good idea.

Brilliant Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Sweet little extension. Arguably this should be the default behavior. Thanks for this. Works fine on Aurora or Firefox 27.0a2 (2013-12-09)

@Geoff80: pull your head in!

I know it will NEVER happen, but I wish this would get updated! All it really needs is an auto-sort option to put the Tab Groups in alphabetical order. If not an update, a standalone extension for the Next Tab Group button would be really helpful! Are you out there, developer? Update this! It can't be that hard to do one of the two things I have requested, can it? Thanks!

Whenever you restart Firefox this addon doesn't work until you open the tab groups view, which defeats the purpose of this addon.

¡Muy simple! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Es muy buena y sencilla :), pero si buscan algo más completo recomiendo TabGroups Menu

update Needed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I make constant use of this add-on. However, it could be improved if the user were able to customize the drop-down menu (e.g. alphabetical, most used, etc.)

Спасибо! Must have with Tree Style Tabs! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you use Tree Style Tabs (TST) or some 'hide tabs' addon, you Have to have This One! I've been deconstructing TST for a day or so... I'm not sure how I found this addon, but I am So glad I did... With the tabs on the side as in TST, the 'tab group' icon is on the Very Bottom left and way out of the way on a laptop! Using Tab Group Switcher, right click toolbar > customize and drag the icon to where ever you please... I can now get back to coding my 'real' work... Спасибо! Рок На!Landis

I'm good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works just fine for me. I can easily select from any of my groups of tabs listed in the drop down box. Does just as advertised. Thanks!

Does not work :( Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I am afraid that I regretfully have to amend my previous glowing review, because after a couple of reboots the extension no longer works. The "select next tab group" button does not activate when clicked, and the "Group your tabs" button is not populated unless you switch to each tab group in turn in the normal way.
It's such a shame - I thought this going to be an essential addon.
By the way, I am on Ubuntu 12.04, Firefox 18.0.2.

I use aurora and it works great here, But, since Cntrl+' doesn't work with aurora. a keyboard shortcut would make it even more

Anyway another great yet simple addon absolutely loved it.

Add W7 to the trouble list Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It barely works and part of the problem is the whole concept of tab grouping. It sounds great in theory but in reality it is more trouble than it is worth. Don't bother with any of the tab groupers.

Doesn't work with Window 8! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It was working perfectly before, after I upgraded to Win8 - my browser is now lightening fast, but this add-on no longer works :(
Can you please fix it? THANKS!

Amendment to my previous review - was able to manually add the 'Next Tab Group Button' from the toolbar customise menu - all now working.
