Finely one to replace all those that went to cr^&.
Clean, no ads, intrusive toolbars, nor does it crash on pages with flash like some.
Well done in my opinion.

It is really a great add-on. The only thing missing is an option to disable the "Shoot this page" item from the right click menu list.

Best screenshotting addon there is, and, with its goods and bads, keep in mind it is THE ONLY platform-independent addon out there, working on windows, linux and mac.

Hi,
very nice addon. I love it :)
One feature would be very nice namely, a pipette :) to get color where ever the mouse is in the screenshot.

Chris

perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars

the best addon of this type IT ALSO WORKS WITH FIREFOX 4.0b but the functionality seams limited (shoot entire page and save to the file, impossible to select a region or use some buttons,at least with my firefox, works fully on 3.6).

true,it doesn't tie itself to any service,it doesn't require a toolbar or display ads,it doesn't take any screen space as it integrates into status bar,it saves loooong 5000px+ pages,at least for me,it supports png and 3 jpg configurations,it offers shooting pages and nothing bloated out of the topic,it is a simple, valuable tool that does what it sais without flaws and more,it even supports 4.0b to some basic extent.all i need

Love it and love its simplicity.
Also love that it doesn't tie itself to any service.

Suggestion: Please add an option to show/hide the "Shoot this page ..." menu item when you right-click on a page. I like to limit my menu options because they tend to get out of control with all the extensions.

It doesn't work with huge pages, but at least it gives some error [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIDOMCanvasRenderingContext2D.drawWindow]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://shooter/content/capture.js :: anonymous :: line 98" data: no].

Hey Nemo, can you please let me know what *huge pages* means? Mb-wise or width/height-wise? Sounds like a Firefox issue, but I'd love to hear more about it. Thank you for using Shooter :)

Adds whitespace to the image Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Shooter isn't supposed to capture the tabs, toolbar, statusbar, etc. If you want that stuff, just take a screenshot (ALT + Print Scrn).

I'm using Shooter because cropping screenshots to remove that stuff is a pain.
The only problem that I have with Shooter is that the captured image is vertically twice as large as the image in the tab I'm capturing.
Why does it do this?

While it's true that I can adjust the selected region in the pop-up window to exclude the extra whitespace that Shooter has added, I'd like to avoid cropping the image altogether. I would give Shooter 5 stars if the image it captures wasn't twice as large as it should be.

I'm using Shooter with Firefox-3.6.4 on RHEL-5.4 (Tikanga).

Good tool: Takes screenshot of entire page, let's you select all or an area and saves it as png or jpg - or copies the entire screenshot to clipboard.
Suggestions for further improvement:
- copy only the selected area to clipboard
- add a print button for printing of selection
- allow adjustment of selection by pulling the selection borders like a graphics rectangle object.

Maravilhoso. Era exatamente o que eu precisava. Muito pratico pra quem vê um site bacana e quer guardar como referencia de layout, ou algo apenas que achou util.

Make it a killer addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The best by far.
A suggestion: add a feature that enables the user
- to add text to a captured page selection
- and then post to Wordpress/Posterous etc.
And you have the best sharing tool in the world!
