Works as advertised so far, and has saved my tab groups each and every time. Won't install FF without it.

NOT WORKING Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just lost huge amount of research. The new tab groups is a powerful tool but worse than worthless if its not stable. Get pop-up that session is having some problem saving. When I closed FF, there remained a full page pop-up with JSON all over it. Sorry should have copied/screenshot it. Have been using this for years, hope you can get it stable but I can't take risk trusting it anymore. -Just managed to restore from deleted sessions folder.

"There was an error decrypting your session/window data.
Most likely the session/window data is corrupted."

That pop-up message is really annoying, because if I don't click "ok", I can't use the browser. And I see this pop-up really often, a couple of times per day. So yeah, fix it please, thanks.

Other than that, it is a good add-on. It fixes the default session manager, which, surprisingly after 30 versions, it is still a massive disaster.

Why can't you just get along with FF30? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I LOVE this Add-on, it is brilliant! How did I ever live without it? Well, I still love it. However, for some reason it’s not working, so I'm forced to live without it. I thought it was just me, but apparently others are having problems. I’m running Firefox 30, and everything I’ve tried to get it to run has failed, at least with my browser. If it worked, I’d give it five stars and a contribution. It saddens me that I can only give it one star. Will ‘Session Manager’ ever work with Firefox 30? And what about later versions? I really miss it! :-(

Session Manager button and Session Manager (On menu bar) have JUST disappeared. What should I do? I tried remove and re-install the add-on at least 10 times but it still does not appear. Is this a bug because of FF v. 30.0? I can't load my saved tabs. I need a help urgently. Thank you in advance.

Problem with FF30 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have the same problem. FF started to crash and saved corrupted session.

Problems with FF30 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Buttons and menus completely disappeared after update to FF30. Had to reset UI customizations to get them back.

Again with repeated crashs of mozilla Firefox browser Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Mozilla Firefox started to crash a lot again because you brought again the old session manager inthat small window with saved session instead of remaining to the new session manager with the session saved shown in a browser window/page/tab. Two or three days ago Mozilla Firefox stoped crashing because of the new window session manager that appeared in a Mozilla Firefox web page/tab. Bring back the new session manager.

Excellent tool, but does not work correctly after FF 29 after update. Does not save sessions automatically (writes session corrupted and syntax error...). It is possible recover only old sessions. Anxiously awaiting your update .....

Still no update a month later & automatic saving
not working anymore on ff v29.*

Also, firefox's internal recovery mode is relayed
for previous crashs, since after a crash, session
saver doesn't load the load session window.

Great functionality, very reliable, I've used the add-on for a couple months and it has not failed me once on any mozilla browser. [cometbird, waterfox, aurora, firefox]

Functionality that should be built in Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When Firefox first added Tab Groups I was absolutely thrilled with the exponential increase in FF's ability to handle and organize large numbers of tabs. However, I was simultaneously baffled at how they neglected to add what I thought was an obvious need created by this new Tab Group system: the ability to handle and organize the Tab Groups themselves.

Before I discovered Session Manager, Tab Groups were merely a nice way of uncluttering a window with a large number of tabs during a browsing session. WITH Session Manager, Tab Groups are a powerful way of quickly accessing large amount of oft-used, topic-specific sites during any browsing session you happen to need it, while keeping them isolated from anything else you have open.

I do have ONE suggestion for Session Manager:
A one-click "Quick Save" option that would save each Tab Group in a separate session with the Tab Group Name as the Session Name, automatically overwriting any other session with the same name. Perhaps it could automatically add the Session Name as the Tab Group Name when it gets restored as well. That would make this extension essentially perfect IMO :)

Unite undo the tab and undo the window at one add-on. Very good at all!

(Disclaimer: I don't know the author.) I downloaded Michael's update today and have it working in Austalis (on a very heavily modded FF installation). Austalis is deeply changed, so anyone having problems - I recommend disabling extensions one by one while leaving this on and testing (ask me how I know). AS WELL... Australis may require you to reset localstore.rdf (see the note at 'classic theme restorer').

I just want to say that Michael has done an impeccable (and consistent) job on a great and tremendously useful product over the years.
Austalis broke lots of stuff, including a large portion of mozilla user-base confidence. This is going to take some time "all around". Lets not blame the extension authors too soon for retooling upgrades they are gonna be facing probably for a while longer.
