Does what it's supposed to, but breaks Locationbar²'s preferences.

If you want support or bug fixing, being a bit more precise would be great. For those guys not using Locationbar², like me as developer of this extension, it would be great if you explain what the exact issue is (breaking a menu entry for preferences?!), how to reproduce that issue (try clicking at xxx, expected behaviour would be yyy but zzz happened). Feel free to write an eMail.

The Preferences item is definitely in the wrong menu, but that's just a minor issue. I find the menu to be severely lacking in the offline mode department. It's still a great improvement, though!

The links for downthemall does not work. How can I fix this? Or is this a bug?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0.1).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

That's a bug, should be fixed in 1.0.0.3 (not reviewed yet, avaiable at https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/new-old-menu/versions/1.0.0.3 ). Thanks for reporting!

Prefereces option is hidden in Firefox on Linux Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I am on Linux and it shows Preferences/Option in Edit menu in normal menu. So I don't see it if I enable this add-on.
In addition, are you planning to allow more customization to be allowed with this addon.

Thanks for your bug report!

Version 1.0.0.2 should work for you, avaiable through the versions menu (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/new-old-menu/versions/) until the official review is done. I wasn't aware that UI changes between OS. I assume that on Mac OSX it isn't avaiable either, as far as I can see that without using it. Let me know if 1.0.0.2 worked for you!

I don't have plans to add more customization, cause there is already an AddOn that gives you the ability to customize the menu freely: Personal Menu (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/personal-menu/).

Thank you for your excellent work. Let's hope common sense prevails, and the Firefox developers look at integrating extensions like this.

Just What I Needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was looking for a button that had everything (View, Tools, etc.) and came across this gem. I tried New Old Menu and found out it is just what I needed to add more control in Firefox. Thank you kindly.

OMFG, I thought your extension adds Character Encoding to the top-level menu and that's why I've installed it. Nvm then, your extension works for me. I just expected something else (should have re-read the description more carefully).
EDIT: thanks for that small extension for me - now I'm happy.
> // Remove Charset Button (avaiable through View Menu)
> remove(document.getElementById("appmenu_charsetMenu"));
And why do you _delete_ items in your extension? That is the cause of all the errors.
You'd better add id or class to those elements and hide them using CSS style: .someclass {display:none;}

New Old Menu removes Character Encoding menu item in top level menu (is in view menu on the right side). After disabling New Old Menu, I see it - but it seems to be hidden sometimes by default. Why do you ask for that?
EDIT: Character Encoding is there by default, but I don't know what reasons it appears - or not. I created a little AddOn for you to disable hiding which you can download at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26332445/alwayscharset_1.0.0.0.xpi , but I won't upload it here, because I think there was a reason for it to hide per default.
EDIT2: I didn't think of that option while coding this. But I implemented it now; 1.0.0.1 is not reviewed yet, so you can only download it via the version history.
EDIT3: 1.0.0.1 is reviewed now and should get installed via automatic updates.

Great add-on. The standard menu under the orange button isn't adapted to an average user like I am. Now it is.
