show only when scrolling? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

android scrollbars are perfect. they only appear when you need them.
I am looking for an addon capable of replicating that, for every scrollbar.
This addon could be there if it showed the scrollbar on scroll events, and do so without affecting the rendering of the page (that is, show over the page without moving any element in it)

Firefox for Android and Firefox for desktop systems a very different.
You may want to try my other "Scrollbars" add-on "NewScrollbars. It offers more customizable features for scrollbars incl. simulating scrollbars on top of webcontent. Its still not what you are asked for, but maybe better than just hiding scrollbars.

I need a button Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good add-on. Thank you. But it is inconvenient without a button to turn it on/off. Otherwise it is five stars minimalistic.
PS I wonder why Firefox behaves so odd. I mean, you want it to go FULL SCREEN, but it shows you its scrollbars hanging on the not-full-screen.

I don't see this behavior on my system.

What OS, OS version and OS theme are you using?
Are any other add-ons or complete themes in use?

Almost perfect Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Does exactly what it says it does, with no fuss. Nice little addon.

The only request I would make would be an option to only hide vertical scrollbars - otherwise it's great.

Only with restart but that's ok Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I first thought it wasn't working in firefox 42 anymore but I now figured that it just needs a restart there. Might als be because of windows 10 64-bit.
Anyways, don't mind the restart and love the addon

I need the opposite extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would it be possible to add the opposite functionality to this extension, so that a user can force the scrollbars to always appear, whether they're needed or not? Some Web pages will change size while I'm attempting to scroll, causing the scrollbars to reposition themselves in the middle of my attempts to use them; permanent, immovable scrollbars would prevent this.

I have not found a way to force permanent scrollbar visibility and I do not know, if it is possible.

Even if it would be possible, such an opposite feature could confuse users and should be outsourced to another add-on in such a case.

Nice add-on Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Could you add the option to show the bar when you reach the right side of the page or the bottom?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.1-signed).

Thats not possible. Scrollbars are rendered/painted after the content is loaded. Once loading is finished and visible/invisible scrollbars are loaded, you can't change them or their appearance anymore, only after you reload the page.

This is also a very tiny option free add-on.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Does exactly what it says, cleanly and without needing a restart.

However, it would be nice to have an option to keep the horizontal scroll bar, since my mouse only has a vertical scroll wheel.

Excellent add-on; works perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Only improvement I can think of is to have a toggle or enable/disable button available on the main toolbar so the scroll bars can easily be enabled again if needed.

Cheers :)
