Fantastic Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Best for privacy, results are accurate and it is easy enough to pull up results from specific websites by using !siteThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.3).
duckduckgone Virus Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Many sites are dedicated to finding a removal tool for this virus. I am too. It is remembering my history and is VERY distracting. I have Email, written and called their site/office. They do not care. If you are a Firefox user DO NOT use this add-on.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
Great addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Awesome search engine that respects privacy. I really liked the bangs feature, but please add some Israeli sites. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
Good but Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I use DDG for most of my searches and only switch to Google when it doesn't provide enough results which is fairly rare. I use the DDGplus in the addon bar and for some reason it won't allow to cut and paste in to the search box which I occasionally need to do when I can't use the DDG from the context menu It would get the fifth star if I could cut and paste. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
Issues with latest versions of FF Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Like some I've been having issues when typing in the address bar. Sometimes it doesn't register and sometimes I use a shortcut for one of my favourites and it makes a search instead of opening the page.
Extension is deactivated for now and I haven't had this issue since.
WIndows 10 Pro / FF 52.0.1 (64bits)
DuckDuckGo is great alone Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This plugin doesnt give me any edge over search edit box. But the engine is good as it's the only alternative enging with lot of suggestions. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I just cant find stuff I need through competitors because they are loaded with high-ranked commercial entries that have nothing to do with my searches.
Duckduckgo delivers what I am really looking for. I have been using the search engine since its inception and now the addon.
Good serach engine. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Looking for such add on which gives good amount of privacy. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
Plugin has some issues... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I love duckduckgo, but the extension seems to cause some issues in the latest versions of Firefox.
It prevents the enter key from sending requests after typing a URL when enabled. If I disable the plugin, it works as expected.
I'm also not 100% sure that the plugin adds anything that you don't get by just using DuckDuckGo as usual.
We are sorry to hear that.
Can you please reach us out at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can debug the problem further? The operating system and version of Firefox you are using would be greatly helpful.
No 1 option when searching. Google - no 2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've got tired of the crapy marketing google is using to convince you to make all google products by default....sooo this is why I start searching for alternatives.
Duckduckgo comes with the simplicity that google lost and thus it became my no 1 search option.
Sometimes I feel like I don't get the search results and then, I type in the address bar google and search for a second opinion.
This is happening less and less as the time progresses and I am amazed some time, how easy life is without google.
P.S. Stefaan, I have search "safari o reilly" on duckduck and it gave me the same result as in google. So, maybe you can reconsider. After all, it's you - the user - that can decide, with every search, if a serch engine is succesful or not.
P.S. 2 That no 1 search results goes to a page that is marked at least by firefox and google chrome as insecure.

Doesn't find much Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I liked DuckDuck Go for the Privacy.
Google always adds a request to make them my home page, very aggressive. But then, every time I want to open a Youtube video, DuckDuck warns me not to open it in Youtube, for privacy they say, but annoying it is.
I noticed that Google finds more than DuckDuck, sometimes this obliged me to use Google.
Breakpoint was my search for "safari o reilly". Duckduck did not find anything, while Google came with almost half a million results. No need to view them all, the first was the good one.
I uninstalled DuckDuck Go
Very cool! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Does what it's supposed to, and the Duck search icon is handy! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).

Thank you very much for this software. I have now used this search engine for a few weeks and highly recommend it to all. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.9).
Disappointed Rated 2 out of 5 stars
1) It failed to do the one thing I needed it to do: change location bar search away from Google who is now abandoning "I'm feeling lucky" Edit: it appears there were some keys set that blocked this functionality. Upon defaulting them it allowed search to be performed via location bar, but it's just regular search which just duplicates what's already available via the search bar.
2) Links location bar and search bar settings so you can't have one without the other
3) Engages in anti-competitive behaviour by eliminating competition's ads - I'm sure Google is doing something inappropriate but this type of behaviour is inappropriate coming from a direct competitor. Leave the ad blocking to AdBlock Plus.
4) Had to uncheck almost all default settings. Though at least they were settings and not about:config keys I had to track down
5) The addon doesn't allow you to modify the URL params so https://duckduckgo.com/params & https://duck.co/help/results/syntax can't be cooked in by the user to do anything meaningful - you get default search and that's it.
