Masked Email feature in new version is a pain Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I suppose DNTM is a good utility add-on although I really have no way of telling whether it really accomplishes anything. And, while you believe your new Masked Email feature is really great and liked by many, I find it to be a royal pain in the ass.
It consistently pops up in sites where I do want to submit my email address. I turned it OFF.

ADDED COMMENT: If the Masked Email feature popped up in a less intrusive way, and IF your instructions regarding when to use it or not use it was more clear, I would consider turning it back on. However, I don't like the way it blocks the process of filling in personal info and I frankly don't understand when or when not to use it.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.1037.1-signed).

Choosing to submit your real email address

Dear AMCarter3,Sorry you didn't like the Masked Email feature - our view is that you and everyone should have a *choice* about when you want to not "over-share" and stay private and when you would prefer to disclose your personal info. In that light, the "Use my email" button should make it easy for you to auto-fill your real email address. Of course, you're free to turn it completely off as well and just focus on blocking Web tracking. We hope you'll grow to like the additional privacy and control DNT gives you and get more value out of it over time.

comment to added comment: very fair. please email us, specifically [hilario at abine] and we will take further feedback and show you the latest, hopefully more clear, instructions.
