Just Verified Temp Cookies are Deleted After Restart
I just verified in FF 47.0 on Windows 10 that temp cookies are deleted after a restart of FF. If you would like, please contact me via email to see if we can figure out what is happening with your instance.
Works on 46.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I only used it view cookies. When a cookie changes while the cookie viewer is open, the values are updated.
My personal favorite Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Dead easy to use and lightweight. Best for my needs (using it for years now).
It would be great if it was possible to export cookie permission settings - the whitelist sites and domains.
awesome Rated 4 out of 5 stars
One of the very rare extensions I have been using for years. Never had a issue with the promised feature set. Only 4 stars because I miss one feature: whitelisting domains to "temporarily allow cookies". In other words, I want certain site to be able to use a cookie, but I want them deleted when the browser closes.
Cookie Monster generates error messages about invalid hostname Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Cookie Monster has started generating an error message every time I close Firefox. "Invalid Hostname Entered. Please enter a valid hostname."
Others have the same problem with Cookie Monster - check Google using these quoted lines.
This just started happening.
I've been using CM for a few weeks as a sad effort to replace "Ask me every time", which Mozilla eliminated from Firefox in January. CM is not a sufficient replacement, but at least it's something. Now it is generating errors.
Things to Check
The issue more than likely stems from an invalid value of setting extensions.cookiemonster.tempcookie in about:config - and can fairly easily be remedied. Please contact me if you would like to resolve this and give Cookie Monster another chance.
Well maintained Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Every time the Firefox developers does something to break addons, including this one (which is dismayingly often lately), the maintainer of this addon has fixed it promptly.
I've tried other addons that are similar, and none have the full feature set I need.
Indispensible Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thank you for all the recent updates and for (finally) getting the addon signed so I can use it again without any worries.
thanx a lot Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wonderful add-on, a real life-safer for those who care a bit about privacy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I came to use Firefox from Opera, which had a really nice cookie management system, where you could quickly whitelist sites you accepted cookies from. So a way to do the same in FF was something I really needed, and I found it in Cookie Monster.
I love that you can quickly right-click on the page to change the settings for a site, and that I can temporarily accept cookies from sites that refuse to work without cookies (silly web-devs!).
I also love that all cookies can quickly be deleted if a site is moved into the blacklist.
The only thing missing is the option to have CM on the Tools menu since I use the keyboard a lot when surfing so having the same options as the context menu there, like Adblock Plus does, would be a super bonus!
Now with the latest version that once again works in Firefox 45, I can once again say this is a must-have add-on.
Perfect addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks a lot for this addon and the fast Firefox 45 fix.
You are welcome!
Source Code? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I cannot find the link to the source code for Cookie Monster though the license suggests it is an Open Source Project, could you post a link to the repo?
Also, has there been any progress made on getting CM signed as an add-on? I don't like having to turn off security features in order to use CM and i've waited for several months. All the other addons I use quickly released signed version .
The last signed version is almost a year old. neither 1.3.0 nor 1.3.5 are signed and firefox refuses to install them unless signed addon verification is disabled in about:config.
CM is Signed
A signed update was just released. In fact, the last couple of versions have been signed.

Works in FF45 if Global Override is disabled Rated 5 out of 5 stars
To get this extension working again in firefox 45 I had to uncheck the option "Enable Global Cookie Permissions Override" in Cookie Monster configuration (and restart the browser). With that option enabled CM doesn't work on my computer. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).

FF 45 - site recognition issue Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Was so happy that it worked again correctly in the latest builds but now it has problems with site recognition - it always shows domains of previous sites in the icon menu.
I really hope that this can be fixed in the near future since I really need this add-on...

Broken on FF 45.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199).
I am aware of this and am debating whether to set the compatibility back to 44. For what it is worth, the report sent to me by Mozilla indicated no problems whatsoever with Cookie Monster and FF 45.

Has Great Potential Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Excellent extension, but has a significant Achille's heel.
All the cookie settings are lost when the user clears Site Preferences. The extension does not store these important preferences separately so they can be reapplied when Site Preferences are cleared.
This is a 5-Star extension when that issue is resolved.
UPDATE: Many thanks to s1tony (the Developer) for his considerate response to my review. It sounds like an implementation trade-off. Maybe someday he can make it withstand clearing Site Preferences. Thank you again s1tony for your response.
Thank you for the feedback. One of the design principles of Cookie Monster was to utilize built-in Firefox functionality when possible, in order to keep it fast and lean.
In Firefox, cookie settings are considered site preferences and as such, when a user clears preferences for a site, this does include cookie preferences for the site.
