It prevents you from downloading gmail attachments in some cases. For example pdf-s.

I want to be able to disable InlineDisposition on some sites. E.g. I can't download video files from disk.yandex.com because FF tries to play them instead.

Why hasn't this been implemented into Firefox after ten years still baffles me. It is a very outdated security measure.
Thanks Kai Liu, this is a great extension that just isn't needed anymore but Mozilla makes it so.

Hooray, finally Firefox actually opens PDF files from annoying websites instead of asking me whether to open or save them, then taunting me with the "Always perform this action" box ticked, as if to mock me knowing that I can't double-tick a checkbox, and happily ignoring my wishes anyway. This is yet another extension that should be part of core Firefox but isn't because the developers like to annoy us, knowing full well there's no other browser that comes close to Firefox for us to jump ship to, because we all would in a heartbeat...

A simple and light addon if you want to have the control over the headers of a file. It is very useful when you don't want to confirm "open with..." for .torrent files, for instance.

Not once since installing this addon was I forced to download something I wanted to just view. If I want to download, I just Alt+Click it, but alas this requires an about:config tweak due to a weird decision by the Mozilla team to disable this behaviour by default... there's always Ctrl+S though if you can't Alt+Click!

Excellent, does what it's supposed to do. However, many or most Youtube video downloaders do not work with this add-on enabled. So one has to temporarily disable this add-on to make YT video download add-ons work again.

I've had issues with Firefox ignoring my "Automatically open with this program" thingie, specifically with .torrents. This add-on solved my issue and other issues like .wavs in gmail. I

I was very annoyed with how firefox handled the content attachment images after Fire Fox 20. This add-on solved the problem easily, no more downloading of generated images!

I depend on InlineDisposition. It does what it is supposed to do, and I would not want to be without it. An excellent add-on.
Platform (updated 11/16/14): FF 33.1.1, Mac OS 10.8.5, InlineDisposition 1.0.2.4

Very nice.

If I want to download a file that I can otherwise view in Firefox I'll "right click-save link as". I don't need to be forced to save a file in order to view it.

It's especially annoying with images.

Хорошее дополнение, которое дает функцию авто ассоциации с utorrent файлами.
Не приходится с начало качать файл, а потом его в программу помещать для того, что бы скачать что-то через torrent.
