Would give it five stars if it would get updated!!! I run Thunderbird 7 and it still is not updated, and never worked on Thunderbird 6! Update your addon please.

I was wondering if it is "that" difficult to update this add-on to the newer FF versions. And if the developer isn't gonna update he might as well leave a note I guess. And since I can't reply without giving a star it gets one allthough a -1 would be better

I already using Firefox 6.0 and Thunderbird 6.0, No splash available yet!

We urgently need something that, as soon as possible after double-clicking the icon -- confirms that FF or TB is being loaded. At times it takes pretty long before anything visible happens. So a splash is really needed!

Hi there. Really great add-on, i've been using it since i found about it ;) even made my on splash screen image (witch i'm sending to you next)
I'm running Firefox 3.6.12, and when i installed Splash i was using 3.6.12, now the thing is that it says it's not available for 3.6.12, and i wanted to install it on a friend's Firefox without recurring to the "about:config" or somewhere else to make it compatible. Any suggestions??

PS: It still runs fine on my 3.6.12

Nice Addon, could work a bit more accurate when detecting loading of the program window.
Indeed Seamonkey2.0 compatibility is missing in the install.rdf file.

@bztsilversleeves: You just need to add

{92650c4d-4b8e-4d2a-b7eb-24ecf4f6b63a}
2.0
2.0.*

to the install.rdf file
- or -
set extensions.checkCompatibility to false in about:config

How about adding SeaMonkey 2.0 to the compatibilities list? it's a MozDev product after all? Or: what would one have to edit or tweak in the current version to get it to work in SM 2.0.6, for instance?

if you can't wait: download the .xpi https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/downloads/latest/2995/addon-2995-latest.xpi , open it with 7zip, edit the install.rdf (edit the version-number to 2.0.2b and the firefox-entry to 3.6.* ) in this way you can use (and update -- if the next official version is uploaded --) it

Great contribution, but the splash screen doesn't show the default png image in Thunderbird 3, please adjust it to work with TB3. TIA.

Sucks on successive FF-starts!

This Splash is nice on the first start, because it gives a feedback when ff is loading the first time. But
on the second start libs and binaries are cached in RAM and the the Splash!-Screen DELAYS the startup!!!

To fix this behavior:

1) go to defaults/preferences/splash.js
and set "closeWithMainWindow=true;"

2) this part must be re-enabled in the code to:
chrome/splash.jar/content/splash.js
then goto line 110/102 and remove the "//"-Comments.

That's it.... now the startup is AFAP!
