Why was PONG! Multiplayer created?
Whereas other developers write a "Hello world" application as their first project in a new development language, I have always written PONG! as my first application. I think my first version was either in GWBasic or Turbo Pascal, not sure anymore. So when I started learning how to develop Firefox extensions, there was no real question as to what I would develop first. After about a year I started working on a multiplayer versions using sockets which took about 3 months to develop and test with the help of about 8 volunteers.
What's next for PONG! Multiplayer
At the moment I don't have any big ideas for PONG! Multiplayer, perhaps it's just good as it is after 4 years of developing it.
