I think it is a great add-on considering it is free and takes a lot of work and allows an alternative to Outlook. It does need work. I do wish it were just included in Thunderbird instead of having to install it separately.

Also, it would be nice if you could graphically highlight and choose multiple consecutive days to set and event, and if the events would show up as horizonal graphical bars across days and such.

It does have a few quirks, but again, it's free so thanks for the hard work and if you can get them to just integrate it straight into Thunderbird that would be even better.

31.5.0 & Lightning 3.3.3 & Baikal 0.27 = Server Crash ?????????? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

since 31.5.0 was released i have heavy crashes on my server. It seems Lightning (with or without sogo connector) does something to baikal that sends the whole server in crash mode with all services locking out. Waiting access to logs and feedback from IT team. That is unacceptable, even Baikal is not a widely used service, that is totally unacceptable from the Mozilla Team. Also, Mozilla blog is not updated since october and no way to get support. way to go micros**t ?? :(

App is stable, but limited. It does allow you to filter events, but then there is no way to export just that limited subset of events. You are forced to export your entire calendar. It is not possible to simply select that filtered subset of events and do ANYTHING with or to those filtered events.

It was two years since I did not use the Lightning extension so I downloaded it to give it a try. What a change! The extension is now stable and allows me to manage my Google Agendas, synchronizing events in both ways. No issues so far. Really appreciate the work. Thanks to the developers. I got rid of Outlook definitely.

Please change TMZ for Moscow in Russia! Now Moscow time is GMT +3, NOT GMT +4.

Junk Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I only gave it 1 star because you can't give 0. No calendar events show up from Google Calendar. Was looking for an Outlook replacement. How disappointing. All you would have to do is make this actually work and you could squash Outlook. Uninstall...

Question sur la dernière version avec TB sous OsX Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of the addons that keeps me using Thunderbird.

SM 2.32 -> Lightning 3.7b1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The SeaMonkey 2.32 compatible Lightning version 3.7b1 got into the official version history. No localisation besides US English, but otherwise it seems to work ok.

Something to fix Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've always loved this addon, it's a "Must Have", but sometimes I cannot completely rely on it.
Last bug I found, at least on my side, is that when I save a date with lowercases in my google calendar via ipad or iphon, it doesnt update in Lightning and I cannot see It.
I always need to write in uppercase to see every single date in TB.

Anyway, many thanks to developpers!

this happens only with one calendar created in google.
other ones work fine even with lowercase.

For we it works perfectly, allowing to use Thunderbird as a calendar - synchronized with my Exchange account and mobile phone. It's only a bit slow at startup if you have lots of events scheduled

Reliability needed Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Really nice application - if you could only rely on it to work! Every second release it doesn't.Annoying.

Does what it should do, although the UI doesn't feel nearly as polished as it could after working for a few years with Apple's Calendar app.

Really bad application.. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It randomly stop working. In most version it is not possible to accept invitation for events. It is fixed in one version and broken in next and currently is not working at all.

SM 2.32 -> Lightning 3.7 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks!! That Solution works fine - but should be available & documented from start of a new SM release. Lightning team does eventually not know the timeline for new Releases of SM, but the SM-Team should have a mark on that!!!
