Stopped working since FF 50 was released Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Copy Plain Text 2 1.6 doesn't work with Firefox 50. It did work with prior versions.
If it worked as it did, I would give it 5/5*

Doesn't seem to work for Developer Edition Rated 4 out of 5 stars
And I thought one of the features of DE was that all add-ons work!
good job Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Addition is just amazing, now is not going to constantly copy and paste text. At the moment, the best extension for Mozilla. Thank you very much.

Best text copy utility I have seen / used Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The handy nature of this (putting this on the "right-click" menu) makes this invaluable. It is invaluable for copying HTML and other documents without all the code crap that screws up any word processor. This is definitely an add-on worth installing and using, as well as supporting the author.
Default copy fails with FF46 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Been using this for a while and find it very useful.
Unfortunately it fails with FF46, the "Make default COPY option" no longer works - <ctl>+C copies all the formatting information as well even if this box is checked.

Activate new option Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Essential addon, couldn't get my paycheck without it (+AutoCopy, or I would have strain injures)!
Just remember to activate the new (truly great!) option "Remove zero-width spaces" if you upgrade.

any chance to add shortcut? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I did not know that such addon exist, came across accidentally. I get tired of using Win + R window to clean up text from formating. Is there any chance to add shortcut like Ctrl + Shift + C?
UPDATE: thanks for a properties tip, I had no idea about its existence. Seems like Alt + Shift + C is also taken by system tool... however, I found addon's another usage - translate.google.com, until now I should use notepad to remove formatting from translated text (especially for French and Chinese) but this tool saves so much time!
Dear add-on user,
Thanks for your review and rating. Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C is ocupied by Web Developer menu. This is Firefox default menu. You can adjust your shortcut using option in the Copy Plain Text 2 options window.
Шикарный маленький аддон Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I heavily need text only texts because of my job. I can't remember how many add-ons I used, I renounced. This one saved me.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4).
Good, simple, works Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Seems good, unobtrusive, seems to work well on FF39.0 and I'm quite happy with it. Ability to set different hotkeys might be a nice addition later, but that's only a minor thing.
Thanks for making this :)
It works Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I can finally paste stuff into spreadsheets or text boxes without the long winded special paste or paste into notepad and copy and paste again malarkey. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works great! Just one minor quirk: I've found that when I inadvertently use it to copy some text that's already plain (e.g. Google Maps URLs), it fails to copy at all. Don't know why—but I'll just try to remember to use regular Copy in those cases.
FLOOD212: Try Keyconfig, here on the FF Add-ons site. It lets you easily redefine any of FF's shortcuts.
Minor troubles Rated 4 out of 5 stars
First I thought that the Reformat special characters option didn't work. It does work with the regular copying, but I was using the "Copy Without Spaces" option. Turning that option off made the special character reformatting work.
The other problem has to do with copying text from a URL. It works great so far, including special character reformatting. However, there is a problem with the shortcut used by Copy Plain Text (P). This "P" shortcut is already used by Firefox for "Open Link in New Private Window", which is one of the options shown in the context menu when you are on a link. Could the developer perhaps change the Copy Plain Text shortcut key from "P" to something else? Or possibly even make it configurable?
