My Reviews

Current Site Search

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The toolbar is really unnecessary as you're not using this for every site, as well as the homepage button that takes you to the authors homepage. I'm really liking how the Site Search addon ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14381 ) integrated this into the search box instead.

Delicious Bookmarks

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

it works, but man, you get slammed with:

1 top-level menu (with 15 confusing menu-items)
3 big toolbar buttons
3 statusbar icons
1 entire toolbar
1 sidebar

For something that should be simple, it's too much.

Firebug Paint Events

excellent Rated 5 out of 5 stars

wow, this is fantastic work. I used this to find out if changing the font-family of an element to something that doesn't change the font causes a MozAfterPaint event, I found out it does thanks to this addon. Showing the screenshots of the paint events is icing on the cake. Thanks so much!

Saved Password Editor

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Much-needed, thanks! This is great for websites that don't prompt to remember passwords.

Search Site

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very useful for websites with crappy in-house search engines! What I like about this one vs. other similar addons is that this on is built in to the search bar, it's intuitive and it stays out of the way.

Show Anchors

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This saved me hours of time on a project. I love the quick copying! It would be nice if adding the anchors didn't change the place you're at on the page.

Textarea++

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Smooth resizing, works great! I like the fact that it stays hidden and only shows the resize indicator when you are actually hovering in the corner. Doesn't work on textareas in gmail, but works everywhere else I've tried.

Coprolalia

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The Samuel L. Jackson of add-ons. Makes even the dullest places on the internet entertaining. The range of tenses/vocabulary could be increased for even better results. I will let Coprolalia do the work of dirtying up this review.

about:search

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Pretty cool! I enjoy this twist on about:me. The hourly usage is pretty enlightening and the idea of keeping track of abandoned searches is cool. This is fairly resource-intensive, as might be expected, and takes awhile to load. Seems to be perfectly accurate for twitter, flickr and other sites, but on google I don't get to see my most-searched terms, which would be awesome, seeing what I searched for was what I was most interested in. Looking forward to seeing more!

Event Spy

Extremely Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was hoping someone made an add-on like this. This works perfectly and can be very enlightening. Gives you a lot of control over what kinds of events to log, etc. I think it should be included in DOM Inspector for sure.

Add to Search Bar

great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is just one of those things that makes life a little smoother. I also think it should be integrated into Firefox.
