My Reviews

AfterSearchWE

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

OK this addon seems to make progress! I like the search bar that appears when you hover just below the top of the web page. Keep up the great work, one day this might become a true replacement for the legendary SearchWP: https://github.com/legege/searchwp/issues/113#issuecomment-387877116

Search term highlighter

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

If you make this into a web extension, could you have a look at SearchWP ("Jump-to-word buttons and highlighting for the search box content"):
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/searchwp/

...and possibly make it work similarly? WIth SearchWP, finding your web search terms in subsequent pages is so INCREDIBLY convienient -- unfortunately it is not and will not be available for FF Quantum.

Thank you!

LastPass Password Manager

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

What the fuck are you fucktards doing all day long there at LastPass?

We are paying your living -- and your keep fucking up LastPass more and more every day to a point where almost nothing is working anymore.

I am logged out every single day from LastPass in Firefox. The LastPass dropdown menu is COMPLETELY defunct. Every fucking day I am redirected to the LastPass new clients tour when opening the vault. On Android 7, LastPass COMPLETELY has stopped to do anything.

So what the hell do you morons think you are doing with your customers money?

@Users: avoid the fucked up LastPass v.4 like the plague, instead install the last v.3 (which works like a dream) and disable automatic updates.

...but now also doesn't work anymore at all (starting with FF55).

The Firefox ecosystem is dying fast now :(

SearchWP

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

SearchWP (together with Conform Searchbox) is so great that it keeps me from switching to any other browser.

Please make SearchWP available to other browsers as well, because (unfortunately) Firefox is dying.

LastPass Password Manager

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

LastPass keeps getting worse and worse. Now almost nothing works anymore in Firefox. No autofill on many mainstream pages like e.g. eBay. GUI reaction times in the multiple seconds range, if at all. Dropdown menu on Firefox fucked up and defunct. Yuck, shame on you LastPass (and yes, I am a longtime paying premium user).

about:addons-memory

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This Addon looks good, but what is the point when Firefox leaks around at 2GB memory usage, and about:addons-memory reports a memory usage of 70MB altogether?

Lazarus: Form Recovery

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This has saved my ass so many times (and boy did I donate) -- but now it is simply broken.

Scriptish

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Scriptish did nothing when presented with this userscript:
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/21391-youtube-comments-sidebar

Also, there were absolutely no instructions about how to install a script.

Greasmonkey otoh instantly recognized the script and installed it with a nice dialog and after one click.

So I went with GM and uninstalled Scriptish.

LiveClick

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

While after every start of Firefox in the morning, LiveClick does not work at first, a simple restart of Firefox completely fixes LiveClick functionality.

SMPlayer View

...and SMPlyer works about 20 times better than the crappy VLC player, YouTube-wise.

PopVideo

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does not work at all.

QuickFilterToolbar

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, this addon crashed my Thunderbird profile almost completely including the accounts. I had to restore the profile from a backup.

mozCleaner

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

When I check those checkbuttons, what is going to happen when I click "Clean"???

--
OK so it removes the entire addons that I check. That is not "cleaning". Cleaning is removing junk like tempfiles, defrag databases and similar stuff.

So the name is misleading.

Restartless Restart

Not in the toolbar, not in customize!

Yet Another Smooth Scrolling

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Good with the touchpad, but bad with the touchscreen (flicking the page stops instantly after lifting the finger).

For REALLY mind-blowing scrolling, try the new Microsoft Edge Browser :(

ImgLikeOpera

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I choose "load images from cache only" as standard setting, AND I check if that mode is also active in the current tab. Still ImgLikeOpera loads ALL images from the web, which costs me loads of money abroad.

Bummer!
