First time it's ever stopped working for me. With 18.1 I had to open the utorrent webui manually once per browser session to get the tool to connect, however, since 19.0, the tool doesn't work at all. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6). Works well. Needs qBittorrent support, and possibly multiple server support. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.2.3).
Very good app! Ive been using it for a long while now. Unfortunately due to utorrent becoming adware, I'll be migrating to qBittorrent. It will be a shame to have to do without the convenience of this little plugin. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Works great. However, as someone else reported, the WebUI login prompt every time the browser starts is a little annoying. I am using 0.1.5 and the default port 8080 for webui, with utorrent 2xx client running on the remote PC.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.5).
This would be great if it would highlight each word in the search a different colour.
Great addon. I only have one minor issue. When using the small icon size for the main toolbar, the drop-down icon on the search bar is too big for the height of the box and overlaps the bottom of the search box border.
This works quite well with FF3.5 and TB3.0RC1
The only enhancement I would like to see is a clearer icon, as it's a little small and difficult to tell when there is new mail.
Only one option missing.
"Minimize on start" :)
How about for simple pop3/imap servers? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.4).
This works quite well for small torrents, but I wouldnt want to use FF for downloading anything larger than a few hundred Mb.
A couple features that would make it all the better.
1. Option to bypass grabbing torrents with a hotkey and allow normal download of the torrent file (eg. Hold ALT while clicking a torrent to download that torrent file). This would allow us to download torrents to a fully fledged client which monitors folders.
2. Improvement on above, if this could be combined with something like the WebUI of popular client programs, and give you the option of downloading in FF or sending it to your torrent client (such as utorrent)
Nice and simple addon. Would be nice if it handled magnet links too.
FireTorrent is just what I need. However, some torrent sites dont allow for "Save As" of torrent files, and currently that is the only way to bypass FireTorrent.
I use FireTorrent to download small files, but for larger torrents I prefer to use a BT Client. So it would be great if one could hold down a shortcut key (CTRL, ALT or SHIFT) to bypass the automatic capture of torrent files.
Problem with v6.1.
The border around FF has gone. I changed from v5.2 to 6.1 and with 5.2 i had a nice thin border around the FF window, but with 6.1 it's gone and now looks ugly if the window isnt maximized.
This is a very clean and visually attractive Feed reader.
The only thing that bugged me is the way I end up with "Brief" all through my recent tabs list, and due to the amount of times i open brief in a day, it makes my recent tabs list useless. :(
So for now Im using Feed Sidebar
All this needs is another button next to the edit button titled "Save" to save the temporary text file to some place else. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).
Not a bad theme, very clean and looks great with Vista's black theme, though it does have a few issues.
1. there is no back/forward history dropdown next to the back/forward buttons. I use this a lot, so I miss it.
2. Some of the buttons are split, such as the button for close on notification bars.
3. Some buttons have black text on black background. Such as the uninstall/ok confirmation button for extensions.
4. Many of the buttons in the FF options panel are cut off as the panel seems to be too narrow.
5. Tabs can be difficult to distinguish from the background or between active/inactive tabs.
Of course these are mostly all minor graphical issues and do not affect how the skin performs.
Keep up the good work.
5.3 is incompatible with Tab Mix Plus and causes my tabs to lock (unable to click tabs). However, 5.2 seems to work fine. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.3).
What would be a really good option to have, is if you could group similar tabs together by Primary domain, without sorting the entire bar by alphabetically by domain.
eg. If the first 2 tabs I open are from Sony.com , the tabs would group together by hostname, but if i open two new tabs from Amazon.com, they would still group together by domain, but remain in their location on the bar (last) without jumping to the left.
This would fix the issue of tabs moving around constantly as you open new sites.
Also, if grouped by primary domain only, this would stop them jumping around if I change from forum.sony.com to sony.com/download.
This works perfectly for what I need.
I would suggest one feature though.
Currently the update window pops up over the toolbar area. It would be much tidier to have it run as a status bar icon instead. This would also serve as a handy location to access settings.
