Utter crap Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This is a paid app with pseudo trial period .. do not bother installing
Seems nice, but description is misleading... Rated 2 out of 5 stars
At first, it looked like this was the be-all, end-all of Security Extensions - Auto vulnerability scanner, Target identification, Header view/manipulation, Fuzzing, etc.
Then you realize that all the useful tools are only available with paid subscriptions. And expensive subscriptions at that (i.e. $99.99 per month for one of the "packs"). In the description, it says the extension features "The full and complete testing engine", but that is not the case.
The tools that come "free" with the add-on do what they say, but the tools you actually want (and thought were included) are not included.
It is amusing to see two anonymous reports both on Chrome Web Store and Firefox Market related to how we structure our business but since you are asking - you are right. The description states that this is a companion extension for our online Suite. We have several tools that are 100% free and very good btw. There over 25K active users at the time of writing using these tools plus the tools that are in the premium packages. There is nothing wrong with this. These additional tools require continuous support which is expensive in the niche market we operate in.
We hope that this wont put you off from using the tools. Free or not - all of them are very good and constantly up-to-date.
What does it actually do? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The author's write-up makes Websecurify sound like a great tool - however, there is no listing or description of the types of tests that the tool can actually perform. Does it do memory tests, network speed tests, run user-defined test scripts? What types of scanning does it perform and what kind of test reports does it produce? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.0).
The description clearly states that this extension is for Web Application Security testing. However, we will be making changes to make it sound better.
Description Rated 5 out of 5 stars
- needs to say what it does, not how indispensable it is.
Thanks for the update on the description.
Thanks for the feedback. We will update the description to include a list of all security checks performed by the extension.
