not working Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Not working on 3.5.9.
Restarting browser is only way to free ram.

Good, but we need it can do more. Why don't you try to develop an automatic RAMBACK which users can set time?

need one similar for cpu Rated 4 out of 5 stars

it work, it reduce mine from 130,000k+ to 80,000k it still a bit too big for my computer, but still better than nothing, so i give a 4*. firefox need to make newer version with this extension as default and make one similar thing for cpu usage.

for those who gave it a low rate, have you try go to >tools > clear caches ? it did say manually lower ram, not magically do it by itself. it should be above the options.

Not working for me as well :(

Did not work at all. Used with Firefox 3.5.5. No change in Firefox's RAM usage after "clearing" the cache.

Incompatible ? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

both my Fx 3.5.7 and 3.6 refused to install saying its incompatible !!

Doesn't Seem To Work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Using this with FF 3.5.5. Click the "Clear cache" Tool menu item and see no confirmation that any action has occurred. firefox.exe in Windows Task Manager Processes tab shows no change in RAM consumption after (supposedly) clearing the cache. Like another reviewer mentioned, "Options" is grayed out in the Add-ons box. If there is a tool bar button it's invisible to me. Some basic information on the Add-On page such as screen shots or a link to a web page would be extremely helpful.

12-12-09; 1.0 MB RAM; XP Home, Firefox 3.5.1.

Just added Ramback, memory usage dropped from 76,change, to 44,change.

Back up to 66,change, after registering to leave this review but still a net 10,000 improvement. And loading is noticeably faster, even with that small of an improvement.

P.S. Anyone know any other tweaks to speed loading? Seems like the longer I delay re-installing, which is a pain, the slower Firefox gets.

It has no apparent effect on reserved memory or performance, not at least in 3.5.

Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works great, button available when personnalizing menu bar not shortkey apparently

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works, gained 2 Megabytes after clicking the button that I didn't saw before :)

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I didn't notice any difference except the "Clear Caches" submenu under Tools. I didn't notice any difference with memory consumption (using Linux).

Would be nice to have a shortkey and/or a button too :)

Finally my lost ram is returning back. This add-on should be added to the next firefox release.

Firefox is still using 500 MB of memory with the add-on installed. Doesn't seem to be working.
