Excellent add on - or at least it was... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Previously, I'd have written that this is an ABSOLUTE must have - period.
I'd been using it for years and feel I simply couldn't do without (it has saved my ass many times), but from what I'm reading below, I have to wonder -- wha??
I'm a bit perplexed; you see, I haven't been using firefox for a while, and now as I'm re-installing, I find negative reviews of - or at least issues regarding - Lazarus, one of my favorite add-ons. It's been working fine on Chrome, so I'll have to wait and see if its still viable on ffx - I DO hope so, but if not, Please fix it!

Sometimes... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It actually IS bad what happens sometimes with this sort of things. I already decided that sometimes a hired programmer is needed to fix personal things. And forget about anything else. ~unless it is about a greater improvement of course.

Needs updates but has been abanonded Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This addon has long been a lifesaver and a must for firefox, but the thing that has always bugged me about it is that it does not work in Google+/YouTube which is one of the places where it really needs to work!! Sadly, though, this addon seems to be abandoned so no updates are going to happen. Otherwise, it works just fine!

site is not working. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

several issues pending, but no response from developer, web site non-responsive.
Uninstalling, sadly, shall search for other add one.
had been a great help for years.
Good bye dear.

No response from developer re current killer issue and web site non-responsive. Uninstalling. Darn!

Nice recovery tool converted into your worst enemy Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I relied on this add-on because it somehow guaranteed that your work will not be lost despite the amount of text or the time elapsed.

It comes with a quite fast search engine, can encrypt and many other things but I can no longer use it since they took the donation page away but kept the link inside the tool.

Now recovering is no longer possible so I have to use a basic text tool and regularly save, when I have to write long blocks or if I review them.

Donate, donate, donate ... but how ???? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The first time I tried it seemed wonderful. The following years it has shown really high-class add-in and I could say the most convenient for my day to day work.

Now it only asks to donate, no other option, not even a proper link. How can we donate?

@Developer, please understand how your attitude hurts the add-in and your reputation.

A true shame, Sonia

Lazarus: Donation hungry Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Be careful with this tool. It used to be a 10 star utility.

The donation link is broken so there's no way to tell it that you have made a donation. It will keep asking you to donate instead of letting you recover.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECOVER ANYTHING AGAIN after the first couple of forms.

They'll get my 5 stars and I'll recommend it again, when they talk less and fix more.

Regards, Alberto

What the heck happened? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This used to be my very favorite add-on. Recently it only adds the "donate" button and I cannot recover anything. I would gladly donate a few bucks to unlock it (it has saved my bacon several times in my college courses so it has definitely earned it) but the webpage is not working.

I will give it 5 stars without hesitation when it's working again, but for now it is completely useless, which is sad for me.

Donations REQUIRED? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

For the first couple of years, this add-on has been stellar. Now (very frequently), when I try to recover, I'm given nothing but a link to donate. Is this going to be corrected...ever? (as I see several reviews mentioning it). What a shame/sham :(

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It works but...
1. The encryption blocks convenient search. An option to disable encryption is missing.
2. Breaks firebug. When resizing firebug, gray frame appears.
3. Their site is not working/

Excellent product. Has save my time on countless occasions.

Useless add-on Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This thing has NEVER worked, not one single time I've had it.

Not only that, I was looking around for the reviews and clicked the title and it brought it up to the add-on page, and the +Add it to Firefox button wasn't greyed out, as if it didn't know I had it! Which tells me it's never functioned and I'm sick of trying to use it then losing a LOT of work. Either fix it, or remove it. You look shameful.

Must have add-on

Forced Donation? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

1. The addon quality deserves 4.7 out of 5 stars!

2. The addon deserves a ZERO out of 5 when it refuses to recover a form before I complete its request to donate. What makes the whole tragic AND ridiculous is the fact that even if I'm "willing" then to follow the blackmail and donate, I can't because the lazarus website is out of function ...
Which means that I have now no means to use lazarus :-(

Friends, donations should be voluntary, not imposed upon the user ...

Lazarus still works great; just missing icon Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I will try to use a throwback status bar add-on temporarily to see if I can view the Lazarus icon and then move it to the main add-on bar at top

But there IS a temporary workaround: Menu bar: Tools=>Add-ons=>"Extensions" on left=>click "Options" button in the row for the Lazarus extension you have=>"Database" tab at top=>hit "Search Lazarus" button. There everything is!

Special Note: This helped me recover recent text that "Form History Control" did NOT have...

Five stars if the developer kept up with Firefox changes to place the icon in the normal add-on bar, and kept Lazarus access in the right-click men.

Huge time-saver Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Here, let me finish typing my review that is made up of about ten paragraphs, that took about an hour to type.

Whoops Firefox crashed, and I didn't save it anywhere. I've lost an hour of my time and have to start again from scratch.

This is the kind of situation that Lazarus aims to fix. If you regularly post on forums or send comments, you WILL be glad you've installed it the day Firefox decides to crash in the middle of you typing an essay.

Of course, since it saves all your forms, there can be some privacy concerns; it can be disabled in Private Browsing, and can wipe credit cards numbers so they can't be recovered. Still, if you're on a shared computer, you should be careful about what you'll type, since everything will be saved.

The only issue I have with this extension is its rare inability to restore a form: it just displays a generic "Lazarus was unable to restore this form" and nothing happens. Fortunately you can still search the database yourself, but it can be a bit annoying when you just want to recover something quickly. It doesn't happen often, however, so most of the time, it should have you covered.

Very impressed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It preserves form content across computer restart (not sure how long it keeps stuff, i think the grace period is a week or something). One click and it brings the entire contents of a form (or even multiple versions). Basically it looks like you can write a wall of text on a forum, crash your machine without having saved in any way, reboot and pick up where you left off :)
