It works, including text-to-speech (v. 0.1.1, new add-on) Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
This new add-on works pretty well. We select text, Ctrl-6 or right click, and get full-featured Google Translate (with text-to-speech, etc.) in a pop up, which can be quickly closed with the Esc key. Really, really useful.
A very small bug with v. 0.1.1, and workarounds: With the #auto option, sometimes the text-to-speech icon doesn't initially appear for the source language, however it appears when specifying a default source language in the add-on preferences, for example #en/es (English to Spanish) if this is our most used pair. Or as well using #auto and clicking later on the specific language button of Google Translate, as a workaround. Probably they will fix this small bug in next versions.
After trying a number of language add-ons, I'm using this one, basically Google Translate in a quick pop up.
not working Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas
installation and configuration was no big deal. but when i select a text passage or single word and hit ctrl+6, it just opens an empty google translate form. the text is not being transferred into the form, no translation is happening. [firefox 20.0.1, windows 7]
time to check out some other translation plugin.
It seems to work fine for me in FF 20. I am not sure why it is not working for you. Maybe if you have some kind of blocking addon like NoScript or something else might be causing it not to transfer. I know I have to let NoScript permit Google and GStatic to make it transfer correctly. I really do not know what else to suggest.
