fake/shareware? Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

on the site it says that free version only shows the trackers, only the premium will block them

is there any point in using this if you don't allow third-party cookies?

Confusing UX - does green mean blocked or unblocked? Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

Confusing UX - does green mean blocked or unblocked? The F.A.Q. states that "[icons are] shown separately to make them easy to block or unblock". So what is it?!? Are they blocked or unblocked?

Not a true Ghostery replacement yet. Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Believe me, I really really really want to replace Ghostery and it's dishonest developers. The issue here is it still is lacking in some functionality. With some modest improvements it could really do it though.

Compared Disconnect and Ghostery. Prefer Disconnect. Visualization needed in the addon for Firefox ( Has it in the Chrome version) otherwise it works great.

USED to be the BEST
Found out that ADOBE was sending information to businesscatalyst.com and I did block it on my router but now, IT SUCKS. I can NOT goto Walmart.com it FREEZES it. It changed, need a version BEFORE JAN 15,2015 and DISABLE AUTO UPDATE. This sucks now, Ghostery is better

Keeps adding itself back to the toolbar after I remove it.

It should be easy to uninstall Disconnect by going to about:addons and removing Disconnect. Do you have any desktop applications that install Disconnect installed?

Je vous remercie pour cet extension ! A améliorer, s'il vous plait ! ( Thank you for this addons! To improve, please! )

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

its good, but since I've adblocker installed it didn't safe much traffic data. over all it was great

Not working anymore Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

It doesn't block anything anymore.

Edit: Maybe it was a problem with my Firefox installation. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now seems to be working.

Hey Sergio,

Have you tried reinstalling? Disconnect should still be blocking.

I'm not sure what you mean - it should be easy to uninstall Disconnect by going to about:addons and removing Disconnect without reinstalling Firefox.

Liked it! Love the all in one app focused on lightness, speed and gives us lot of control and information in a beautiful interface. Also open-source!
BUT it doesn't hides add elements (which is very important in most sites) and somehow I've been getting lots of popups and still lots of adds :/ Also the buggy thing with the menu with Firefox 35 update.
I have big hopes for this extension. For now I might use another one. Since it is constantly evolving and with good principles, it might become the must have in every browser.

Very Cool and nessesary... Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Great Tool - works fantastic. It use 0.97 MB in firefox and works in the background without mistakes. The counters are great and are very interesting, because I can see, which websites steal my lifetime. Only the window could be bigger on size...

It works very well and I am glad to have found it. However, ever since I updated to Firefox v34, I have noticed that the add-on randomly stop responding. It will suddenly stop showing the count of blocked requests and indeed stops blocking these. I need to disable the add-on, restart FF, enable the add-on and restart FF again in order to get it working again, which is not always fine cause sometimes I have important tabs open and it becomes inconvenient to do this. I hope they fix this.

Currently using FF v35, and it exhibits the same problem.

No longer working Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

Whatever value Disconnect had, it has lost. I tried to visit walmart.com this morning and Firefox froze. Had to close FF via Task Manager. After some experimentation, I found that disabling Disconnect brought back walmart.com.

I would try to whitelist walmart.com - as mentioned below - but the browser is completely non-responsive and I can't even click on the Disconnect icon to do so.

Not so good as that lifehacker review Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

I've used disconnect for some while, and there are some reasons that I've switched to ghostery.

First, On firefox 35, the button is crazy. The popup is very small (30or so pixels) and the dixplay doesn't show.

Second, I used this in Opera once. The opera addon has more features. I HATE ADDONS THAT HAVE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONALITY PER BROWSER

Third, The icon doesn't display itself in customizing.

Fourth, DISCONNECT FINDS LESS TRACKERS THAN GHOSTERY! Open-Source doesn't matter, it's the FUNCTIONALITY!

Fifth, YOU GET SPAMMED?!
When you install this and restart, a disconnect page shows up asking for donation. THEN MAKE A PREMIUUM FOR GOODNESS SAKE! I HATE SPAM!

For now, ghostery is a GOOGOL times better than this.

Spam at startup? Uninstall! Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

Open Firefox and get spammed by this? Automatic uninstall. I'll try an app that doesn't spam me.

And is this abandonware?

Perfect ... With some of your attention ! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

This addon is really cool, I've been using it for some time now, and I really recommend it !

BUT you have to take care to "whitelist" some of your favourite sites, because the addon might not allow them to work properly.
Per instance, I haven't been able to buy something on Razer website because of that. The sites you think are less dangerous (take a look at the addon to see if there are many threats or just a few) can be "whitelisted" in order to let them work properly.
If you encounter any problem with a website, try whitelisting it, it may work again !

I use this and Ghostery interchangeably with NoScript on FireFox, a useful tool which counts 2000+ and today I figure that number of trackers is more than doubled.
