Um, the creators of this add-on have this text displayed on the otherwise-blank home page: "...We decided to shutdown TuneTune to prevent legal consequences from Google...."
Don't waste your time trying to download it. I wonder why it is still listed?
This version without the trees or poles shows up well in my browser. I always have loved the iconic 'Las Vegas' sign. Great job!
I have been living with about 5,000 raggedy bookmarks for the last few years. I have tried to sort them on Delicious, but that proved too tedious. Viewmarks made all of this much simpler. Now my bookmarks are tagged, and neatly tucked away (alphabetically) in their corresponding folders. Thanks so much!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1).
This have been a favorite persona for a long time. It has a retro look which is cool.
Love the minimalistic look. It looks great on the browser. Thanks!
I liked this when I installed it yesterday. Very simplistic. This morning, I realized this persona includes CORNICK in a large font in the bottom left of my screen, covering up something I needed to see. You should pull back on the vanity if you want people to actually install this - or maybe it is just for you. Whatever the case, what a waste of time.
it has blown my mind...
magnificent! thank you very much! =)
@mic: wish it wasn't orange? then um, why even download it and give it 3 stars because it is orange? There are about 3 million personas that aren't orange. As for me, I love it! Thanks.
I was looking to for a replacement for the Google Reader, since I was removing myself from all things Google. I was able to export (before I closed my account) all of my feeds right into Bamboo Reader without any hassle. This add-on was a nice surprise in that it works very well, and is very easy to navigate. I have about 300 RSS subscriptions, and it handles them without hesitation. Also, I am glad I didn't have to bother with a standalone program, like FeedDemon. It is so convenient having it available in Firefox, which makes the browser twice as functional for me. Thanks! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
This add-on is perfect for those of us who love statistics, and also for those of us who may have OCD. =) Thanks for this! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).
All black, not all icons showing up. Looks horrible, and is not usable in any way. This needs to be pulled - 5 out of 5 can't be wrong. Also, I am using Windows 7.
very easy on the eyes! thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
It is a shame that developer has made "sponsored links" mandatory for using the add-on, instead of giving a choice, say for those who donate? I have a feeling a lot of people will do just what I am about to do - uninstall it. Someone will probably make something similiar sooner or later. I thought the whole Firefox / opensource way of thinking was non-commercial? Another add-on I used to like, Similar Sites added sponsored sites to their results when queried. I uninstalled that one, too. I think you've made a poor decision to make ads mandatory for an add-on that people can easily forego, unlike Adblock, etc.
I like this add-on a lot. Unlike other pages that do kind of the same thing, this one is not just low-maintenance, it is NO maintenance. I love how I can just click on any page and at it to my start page. The recently added features such as themes, the ability to rename sites and the simple to do list make it a solid 5-star. It's never given me any trouble, either. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).
Why bother about the color of the orange firefox button? Since I don't use themes or personas, this little tweak is just what I need to break up the monotony while using the browser for hours at a time.
This add-on is my favorite. As far as MORALITY, I know what I am doing. I am using this of my own volition. The author of this add-on did not twist my arm to make me. @litetaker, you should retract your rating and review. If not, then be fair - what about add-ons like the ones the cover up advertisements, those that keep people from waiting 60 seconds or so before downloading from certain sites, etc. You should have problems with the legalities of many add-ons available here. Selective morality is an oxymoron.
@Anonymous-5599093 grooveshark saves all of mine as MP3 without fail. Are you using a download accelerator?
Best in class. I've tried several other stand-alone screen capture programs and a handful of Firefox and Chrome add-ons. Awesome Screenshot is the Cadillac of the bunch; the others are broken down Studebakers and Edsels that haven't started in ages. It gives you the option of selecting a portion of a page, saving what is visible in your browser or capturing whole pages...great for websites with entries (like blogs) that are a long way to the bottom. After that, you can do all sorts of stuff with the screen capture to make it your own. Use any color to annotate, draw attention to with arrows, crop any part of the page, blur out any part (maybe your ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend in an otherwise great photograph). There are lots more features that I haven't gotten into yet. I've had it for two weeks now, and it is not a memory hog, has never locked up and refused to move, or worse. (I have Windows 7 sp1 64-bit.) This is a solid, quality add-on with a cavalcade of features. Another benefit, if you are a member of Diigo (free to sign up) when you can send the pages directly there - in the cloud. If I were a teacher, I'd give it an A+.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.1).
I've been looking for this for years...simple, does the job, no hoops to jump through...
~~thank you very much~~
This works as it says, but as others have said, you really have to figure out everything for yourself. Keep in mind there is absolutely no help anywhere, not even the home page. Once you click download MP3 on the You Tube site, a page comes up. It says, "Download ready. Wait 25 seconds or become a premium member. You will have 15 seconds to download the MP3 once it appears so be ready." To see what would happen, I didn't click download MP3 and after 15 seconds, I was told I wasn't quick enough. I needed to start over, or become a premium member. So be sure to watch out for the download page after You Tube or you will be starting over. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
