Menu Wizard

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi, sorry to report that the latest update appears to break the dropdown menu of NoScript's toolbar button.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.07.1-signed).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Menu Wizard

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you very much Oleksandr, this is brilliant, an essential tool for people who like everything minimal :-)

I just have a couple of issues to mention ... Ghostery in the tools menu refuses to be hidden for some reason. I can hide it for a session but when I restart FF it's back there every time. Ghostery has no native option to hide its tools menu item either. I even tried shifting it to a hidden sub-menu but it doesn't help sadly. It's only a minor annoyance though.

The other thing is, in FF29 I tried using Classic Theme Restorer to put the App Menu in the toolbar next to the address box. This works fine, but your add on doesn't recognise it so I can't edit any items in it. Can anything be done about this?

Many thanks for your work anyway, great job.

Slim Add-ons Manager

Replying ...

Yes I know ... I'm just being lazy.

Sometimes I have a lot of add-ons so it means scrolling down a long list to find Slim :-D

Thanks for your response.

Gmail Manager

Hm.Adding my account as [email protected] means that the add on refuses to accept my password.

I thought I'd try it as [email protected] ... well it accepts my password now but clicking the toolbar icon opens some weird google apps "moma" page whatever the heck that is.

The search goes on lol.

Blimey that's an awfully complex bit of kit just to avoid clicking "Next".

Can't even get it to work with Google.

Slim Add-ons Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like this one best because it results in smaller fonts in the Add Ons Manager too.

I suspect it combines with some other add ons such as Theme and Font Sizer Changer to do this but whatever the reason some other alternatives don't manage this.

My only request really would be for a "Toggle Slim/Normal" item in the Add Ons Manager settings menu but that's possibly being a bit picky : )

Thank you.

Todoist for Gmail

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I liked the look of this, gave it a try out but I won't be keeping it sorry.

Firstly, simply logging in required me to whitelist a load of stuff in Noscript and Ghostery which seems a bit unneccessary.

Then, useful options like labels and reminders require a premium subscription so with the freebie I seemed to be left with basic Google Tasks plus a bit of eye candy. Doesn't appear to sync with GCalendar either.

Not for me, but thanks all the same.

History Export

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

NIce add on. Not something I'll use often but very handy for when I do.

@previous commenters, if you open the toolbar customise dialog in FF then you can add an Export History button to your nav bar or wherever.

So simple but extremely handy and working perfectly in IceDragon v22 Portable.

Thank you.

Bookmarks Checker - check for bad links

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Not sure about this one...

It checked my 4000+ bookmarks quite quickly, but of course I have no way of knowing how well it worked without manually checking them myself.
I would say though that it would be useful if, when a site requires authentification, that site could also appear in the final report.

More worrying though, is that when I told it to check for empty folders it reported that a folder containing several hundred bookmarks that I'd imported from Google Bookmarks, was empty. I'm wondering if this is because the folder contains all sub-folders? Not good anyway, and enough to put me off using your add on again sorry.

Extension List Dumper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is just excellent.

Over the years I've used everything from FEBE to screenshots to Notepad just to keep a list of my extensions.

Found this just a couple of days ago and it works a treat, thank you very much.

Many thanks also to CodeSlayer for the about:support tip... I hadn't looked at that before, which will also do what I want as well as telling me what extensions are in those folders with utterly unhelpful names.

W7, IceDragon 22.

Toolbar Buttons

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic add-on!

I wish it were still actively supported as I'd like to see some kind of search option or least an ability to sort the buttons in the customise dialog ... it can be a real pain to find the button you want sometimes.

Five stars from me anyway, this has been one of my always-install add-ons for ages now, wouldn't want to be without it.

YouTube Anywhere Player

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's very nice, but I can't really see the point of it...

I was thinking it would be something like a pop-out player so that you can actually use other sites while watching a vid.

Five stars anyway for a very minimal and sexy looking vid player :-)

Notepad (QuickFox)

Love this add on, would love it even more if you could make it so that I can open my notes in the sidebar :-)

5 Stars anyway!
