My Reviews

LookOut

Great for Office 2007 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This works very well with attachments sent in Office 2007. Now I can see attachments from colleagues & customers again.

the body-rtf attachment is a good workaround to see the formatted message (in-line would be nice, but probably a bit much to ask).

feature request: Could you add an option to hide the Winmail.dat attachment itself? It is not necessary once I have my attachments displayed.

PN-Buttons

good UI, algorithm can be improved Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The UI is really nice and easy but the fact that the algorithm only tries the last numeral in each link makes it fail in some instances:
http://www.ligamusic.com/download_music_free/?free_p=578&free_s=3
Here you have page number (free_p) and a sort key (free_s) - free_p should be increased / decreased.

The easiest way to achieve this (without scanning page contents) would be to look at the immediate (back-fwd) history and look for patterns. This way the user could send PN "on its way" by doing the first (next page) link manually.

Folderpane Tools

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

THis is handy & easy to use. Worked without any problems. 8 pop accounts, 4 news servers and RSS could be re-sorted to be much more painless. Together with quickfolders its really useful for minimizing all the scrolling.

Outlook 2003 BlueTB

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

THis is really well done, lots of attention to detail, I like the alternation between blue and orange gradients, very subtle like the office 2003 skins wihtout being overly "glassy". Lightning integration works quite well, could still be improved a bit more. I did not manage to get the texts beside the buttons, like on your screenshot, how did you do this?

Nuvola TB

can be even improved Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very nice icons and color schemes. I really like the gradients as well. Very good: the current email retains clear highlighting, thats a usability ++.

The Lightning subskin is particularly well done.

The only bad thing: the octagonal buttons and dropdowns don't look very clean (yet) - they look "Hand-drawn" and really stick out compared to the beautiful artwork on the icon sets.
Also, the dropdown marker looks too much like a checkmark which is confusing.
Without this flaw it would be a perfect 5.

NoUn Buttons: Unmerge Back & Forward Buttons/Menus

Good idea, improvable: Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The idea is good unfortunatly it still breaks depending on the skin. If its just for the purpose of displaying non-unified histories a slightly more lazy approach might wield better results: Simply clip the original Unified button on the right hand side and then only supply the drop down markers. An option for the amount of pixels to clip and voila full theme compatibility.

Show InOut

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good idea, but... it would be REALLY NICE if it could be configured for the "Out" Category to be triggered by a multiple email addresses (handy if you're working with outlook at work and frequently forward stuff home or simply have multiple Email addresses)

Nostalgy

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Now this IS really useful, just installed it and my several Inbox and Sent folders look a lot more manageable. If you're an email magpie and keep everything like me, but in a folder structure, this is indispensable. Very good addition to Quickfolders!

Recipients Overview

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just what the doctor ordered! Works well in preview window (main thunderbird).

It would be nice if it worked in the opened mail as well (okay, I hardly open my mails anymore, but nice to have all the same)

NoScript Security Suite

Feature Request Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I think usability is very good (the dropdown with the domainlist [Forbid/Allow] is a great feature) but especially for those silly sites that use lots of external scripts some visualization (which form element / link points to scripts from which domain) would be useful. It is not always easy to find how to make a site usable again without enabling ALL scripts on it.

Mostly Crystal (for Firefox)

Simply the best Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still simply the best, most complete & integrated Theme. Very clear & cohesive, very customizable - See http://www.tom-cat.com/mozilla/firefox.html

Whenever I try another Theme I find myself going back to this quickly. Use with cuteMenu!
