OK, this is an initial review - I've only been using it for a few minutes now but so far I have to say that it is great! I did have a shortcut conflict with Dragon 12 but it is simple enough to reassign a bookmark in that program so that's what I did. I randomly opened a dozen or more tabs across several open windows simultaneously and hit my ctrl, shift,D and zap - all of them were gone, across all of the open pages EXCEPT for the oldest one! Perfect. I do wish that it did offer some type of a flag to tell you that is had actually done it's job (hey, what can I say, I am by nature a paranoid doubting Thomas that should have logically been born in the "Show Me State" - Missouri)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (Release).
Myibidder is, in one word "FANTASTIC" I have been using it now over several versions spanning a number of years and I can't rave about my "dirty little secret" enough (but only to very close friends who probably wouldn’t be bidding on items that I am interested in). I rarely lose an auction now (but I will admit, there was a learning curve - seeing how short a time span I could use before triggering my bids, doing some homework on the item that I was bidding on so that I don't go too high - a very distinct possibility when you aren’t completely removed from the final bidding process) but I can place a max bid for something closing in the middle of the night, go to bed and wake up in the morning to find that I (usually) own it - and generally WELL below my maximum bid price – no more getting carried away with spite or emotional bidding – just let your best, unhurried judgment be the final arbiter of price. The program has saved me many hundreds (possibly a couple of thousands) of dollars and is well worth a donation to the authors. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.6). Myibidder is utterly "FANTASTIC" I have been using it for a number of years and can't rave about my "secret" enough (but carefully though - I certainly can’t let my bidding competition in on it). On the (rare) occasions that I lose an auction, I will look at the bid history it usually tells me that a couple of people got into a bidding war and wound up paying far too much! (I will admit that there was a learning curve - seeing how short a time span I could use before triggering my bids, researching what my maximum bid should be, (I don't go too high – now that I am completely removed from the final bidding process). I can place a maximum bid for something closing in the middle of the night, go to bed and (usually) wake up in the morning to find that I own it - and generally SUBSTANTIALLY below my maximum bid price – no more spite bidding or emotional involvement – just let your best unhurried judgment be the final arbiter.
