Evernote Web Clipper

Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Does what it is supposed to. Wish it had a couple of additional features - the ability for notifications to disappear after X number of secods (perhaps X is configurable). disable clip notifications from settings. and ability to clip screenshots of the screen instead of text.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.4).  This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

LastPass Password Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Lastpass is one of my top 3 Firefox add-ons - a close 2nd to Adblockplus. My previous reviewers have already covered what makes it so good. The only testament I can add is that by now I have introduced it to dozens of friends and family members. Almost all of whom have taken to using it. And quite happily continue to do so. I particular like how it makes passwords available wherever I am (phone, PC. tablet). It's a shame this particular level of password management is not a standard browser feature in Firefox. Perhaps some day...

Please make this compatible by v4.0b*. Thank you.

Quicktext

Has been incompatible with TB 3.1.* for quite a while now. Please update this as I am missing this functionality.

Auto Zip Attachments

Is the development on this extension dead? If so, can this be marked so? I'd be worried about downloading "unofficial" copies from external 3rd party sites :-(

I'd rather wait for the official release even if that leaves me short-handed.

BarTab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this for over two weeks now. And as someone who makes heavy use of tabs, I find this to have reduced my FF memory consumption by around 80%!

The only additional setting that pushed this down further to around 85% is this setting - "When I don't visit a tab for a while" = "Unload it after" .. "20 minutes".

It is now a part of my permanent add-ons collection (the only other two are Adblockplus and XMarks).

Thank you!

I don't want to use the "MaxVersion" hack. I'd rather request for an official release. When can we expect this wonderful add-on to gain compatibility with TB3?

Nostalgy

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The ` key has stopped working with the latest version (v0.2.19) on TB 2.0.0.12. I cant seem to post to the mailing list as well.

Otherwise great extension!

Nostalgy

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Wicked add-on. For CLI lovers like myself, I couldnt have asked for anything better.

Two suggestions - The hotkey "S" used for (s)ave is already mapped to "Star"-ing in TB. I know this can be changed in Nostalgy. But pl. consider using something else as a default. I am one of those who uses both Save and Starring a lot.

Secondly, please consider adding compatibility for the TB spin-off named postbox (see: http://www.postbox-inc.com/).

And keep up the great work!

I know it's too early to expect this, but it's not (yet) compatible with FF v3.1

Strata Human

Nice touch, thanks!

Ctrl-Tab

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Great looking extension. However, one critical feedback from a heavy user of Ctrl-Tab (both the shortcut and the extension). It makes you lose context! For example, I am on tab 3 and Ctrl-Tab to tab 6. Now without the extension, Ctrl-Shift-tab will get you back to tab 3 (your _historically previous_ tab) and not numerically tab. Any chance of getting this into Ctrl-Tab because this is how alt-tab works..

Adblock Plus

Further to my last comment, it now works for FF3 Beta 5. Thanks!

Bookmark Duplicate Detector

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This coupled with foxmarks has suddenly made bookmark management a lot easier.

It brought down the number of my bookmarks by about 80. Gosh! I did not know i had as many duplicates.

Auto Zip Attachments

Pretty good Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi,

This is one of my standard extensions to have for TB. Working in a corporation environment where certain attachments are not allowed, i use AZ to .zipp (no, not .zip) it as even .zip files are not allowed.

I recently upgraded to TB 2.1 rc1. Its a shame its currently not compatible with it. However, otherwise its a great thing to have.
