In a little more detail...

Where appropriate my themes have a link to a user style
which can be used to "Enhance Australis Visibility".

It supplements "Classic Theme Restorer" by Aris; CTR
will be used for the large icon option and to color the tabs.
I use the default tabs on top, but not happily.

The user style is primarily to enlarge text, add icon boxes
and box shadows, and to modify the "fog" Australis uses
on the toolbars.

This is but one of many possible approaches to modifying
the new UI. Search AMO addons and the Userstyles site
for "Australis" to find them.

My Reviews

Minimal Site Block

It does work, give it a chance. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I read about this on gHacks today and installed. It
works well for domains, which is all I care about.

I agree with two earlier reviews in that it would be
easier to use if the list were accessible through a
menu. However, the dev deserves credit for making
it possible to block sites at all - enhancements later
if he can bring himself to ignore the negative reviews.

Classic Theme Restorer

Working Well With OSX Lion and Persona/Themes Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just finished setting up for Mac. Works okay with a wide variety of Persona/Themes.

(I think we should rename these themonas and end the confusion!).

My userChrome CSS now supplements this addon rather than the other way round.

It represents a tremendous amount of work in a constantly shifting environment.
Thanks to Aris for taking on the task.

Personas Plus

Almost There Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I noticed a new release of Personas Plus and decided to give it another try, mainly because I need the custom personas option to test personas before submiiting them. In the past Personas Plus wiped out customizing on every Firefox restart. The problem may have been only on Macs, but persisted over several OS and many Fx releases.

This works better. It wiped out my added toolbar, but after I rebuilt it subsequent restarts left it in place. Mysterious, but play Twilight Zone theme and move on.

Cleanest Addon Manager

Cuts List Length for Easy Access Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Along with Hilite Manager, helps with managing add-ons. The only glitch I've noticed is the installed date on the Appearance panel is "Unknown" except on the default. Not really a problem, just a waste of space.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.0.1-signed).

Addons Manager Hilite

Sort Feature is Useful Too Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Helps make the Add-ons Manager manageable. For Appearance panel the sort alpha option is something I like, since the entries are always where I put them.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1-signed).

RemoveTabs

This Has Toolbar Buttons Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used this for a long time with no problems. Provides several button options for just about every need.

Note that Florian Wolk's add-on pointed to in No Nothing's review does not have toolbar buttons; if using keyboard only is what you want then it might be worth your time to check it out.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.0.1.1-signed).

Saved Password Editor

Does Just What It Says and More Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Somehow I managed to review the companion Saved Password Tags but never this. It provides something - the ability to edit the Firefox password file - not available any other way.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.3.1-signed).

NoSquint

Best for Mac Users Rated 5 out of 5 stars

DefaultFullZoomLevel worked well for me for a long time but on later Firefox releases with Mac OS X Lion it gave up. Its author said it wasn't tested for Mac so no complaint there; he also recommended NoSquint, which works even better and has more features. Perhaps I'll use more of them some day.

Bookmarks Deiconizer

No Problems Here Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Have used with OS X Lion Firefox 10 thru 15 with none of the problems reported by others. Maybe they have addon conflicts. Anyone wanting to try it should; that's the only way to find out if it will work in any particular configuration.

Since I had a white rectangle by every bookmark menu item it was really a good thing for me.

AddMoreTextToClipboard

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The problems mentioned in my previous review have been fixed. Keyboard shortcut key (for Mac) works.
A handy way to concatenate lists or documents in the clipboard using the "append with newline" option.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.0.1-signed).

Password Tags

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A nice supplement to the Saved Password Editor addon. I like that it wasn't tacked on to SPE; addons work better when they don't grow like cancers.

I used this to keep the forgot-my-password hints. Not exactly tags but it works for me.

NoFace

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good as far as it goes. I would like to be able to list other sites just like the other reviewers.

The direct visit option is needed. (Not be me, but by the actual owner of this computer!) Otherwise, this is a badly needed function. Thanks.

Tabberwocky

Abandoned Rated 1 out of 5 stars

No longer supported, rating reduced.

Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I assumed this add-on would get all rave reviews just like ABP, but saw the reviews by Buster and Faktor12 below and looked for Yarip (Yet Another Remove It Permanently). The search for Yarip returns only Element Hiding Helper. What's up with that? Still 5 stars from me.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.6).

EditFox Lite

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This may not be popular yet but it surely will be in the future. It cut the number of point/clicks in half for repeated userChrome edits. For Mac Os X no configuration - it just used the built-in text edit. Good stuff!

Ghostery

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still 5 stars now that the no quit problem is fixed. As for the sale, as the CIA agent said to Charlie Wilson: "We'll see!." Can't blame David for cashing in though; baby needs a new pair of shoes.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).

Show My Password

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just right to overcome the UGA (universal geek assumption) that I shouldn't be able to see what I type, even here at my dining room table. One of 4 addons from this developer - 2 on disabled/standby I use.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7).

Cookie Whitelist, With Buttons

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A very good extension for managing cookies. I have use it for nearly a year; so rarely now that I have to think a moment to remember how it works. I think many of the complaints are mostly a language problem: English is hard! (Difficult, for purists.)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3.1-signed).

Ghostery

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One of the required add-ons for privacy protection. The author
gets extra credit for the quick fix to the problem of option screen
not fitting on small screens, like G3, which occurred when he
added the blocking feature. Many never get fixed.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1).

Web of Trust, WOT: Website Reputation Ratings

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is about the best WARNING add-on available. Most of the negative reviews focus on the fact that it's not perfect, but I think it should be judged by how
well it does what it claims to do.

Also, WOT uses more than user ratings; see Malware Domains (also available with Adblock Plus if your computor can handle the load) for example. The way they group users to weight opinions also reduces the risk of co-ordinated attacks.

Finally, if the comments are obviously biased in the your view then go ahead and visit the site - perhaps blocking Javascript first!
