IE Tab 2 IS the new version. It's the same product, same source code, just updated to support Firefox 3.6 and beyond: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/92382/This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.20090525).
@skillguru: No, it won't work without IE. Sorry. I've heard rumors of users getting it to work on Linux with the Wine emulator, but that is not trivial. We'll post instructions if we can nail them down. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206).
This product is great, but the owners of this version have disappeared.
IE Tab 2 _is_ an updated version of this exact extension (they are both open source). It is just being maintained by different developers.
@bob-obob. To be sure you should be careful, but we have 100s of thousands of users already and the complete source code is available, and no alarms have been raised.
We make no claim to be the original developers, we just claim to have taken the trouble of updating the original product so that it continues to work. We aren't trying to hide, my name is Don Schmitt and I am with blackfishsoftware.com, and ietab.net.
Please feel free to review what is installed, the entire source code for the package is available, and feel free to post on our forums if you see something to be concerned about.
Latest version fixes back / fwd / refresh. Should be fully compatible with the old version now. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
