Sadly this addon constantly breaks down as it depends on adobe flash but perhaps the frustrating thing is that this addon was responsible for typing lag and various other typing issues, such as missing words.
This system is relatively new and runs 16GB of ram.
Great addon however it would be nice to be able to have a more precision control with a magnification screen capture selection upon selection.
The ability to have the page scroll with your mouse pointer when you are attempt to capture a selection that is larger than your page view.
And lastly a good annotation option.
Every other screen capture tools are completely unreliable and never seem to work in one form or another.
Apart from that this addon is great. reminds me of Screen Capture Elite in some ways also.
Thanks for extending the old tired and retired Screengrab.
Great idea however it seems to struggle to process large chat conversations (several thousands), given that a users chat conversations are accumulative this could represent a problem as inevitably chat history shall become larger and larger which also represent another issue and that is that the user must download the entire conversation log again rather than being able to update the existing file with only the missing text being added.
This addon also conflicts with the popular addon; Privatetab, causing new private tabs to be opened as a regular tab on the first attempt.
Superb! Google take note, your new design isn't practical!
If you write emails using gmail's web interface then this is an absolute must, no more scrolling up or attempting to remember what you were replying to!
FANTASTIC addon! thank you!
Works fine however I would like to see more options such as allowing the user to specify each copied item to begin on a new line thus allowing a list to be created if need be.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (initial.rev77).
Working fine here for Firefox 11. I find this one neater the screengrab, the only things I would like to see is an optional entry in the context menu and a more precise pointer on selection something perhaps similar to Paintshop pro's precise pointer so I can see through it and make more accurate selections.
Nice little addon, it would be nice to have a quick option to set cookies of selected sites (at the personal users discretion) to never expire (simply by modding the expiry date to something ridiculous like year 2100) I'm not sure if it would work but if it could it would be great and eliminate the need for addons such as add & edit cookies for many. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).
The good: The dubious bug that appeared prior to this release which prevented firefox to be completely closed has been fixed.
The bad: This extension was originally created to give us peace of mind knowing that we have another great item in our arsenal to protect our privacy and prevent collection of data but now it seems that this tool is becoming part of the problem, below is an excerpt from the official website...
3. Will my data be collected and used for advertising?
* No. Better Advertising’s services are built from the ground up to specifically avoid collecting any type of data that could be used for behavioral advertising. Better Advertising also publicly pledges never to use any data it collects for advertising.
So what is this data it is collecting, why do they need data and in what manner are they collecting this data.
Also I can't find a change log around at all for this release.
I'm going to rate this extension as a 3 based on previous experiences but I am currently remaining suspicious of these latest developments.
A decent little add-on however it is severely let down by the fact that you cannot specify a custom download directory, I hope the next update includes this option as it has been much anticipated by many. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.7).
