This is about the ONLY add-on that's kept me using Firefox. The Devs are as bad as the Facebook ones when it comes to changing layouts unasked. More than once I have carefully crafted a layout that is efficient for me, only to have it destroyed by a Firefox update that thought IT KNEW BETTER. :(
I do not EVER want my bloody tabs above my bookmarks and navigation bar - I have visual impairments and separating the identifying tab from it's related content just confuses me.
THIS add-on is what you need to get it back, and for that I thank whomever made it.
This is one of the better add-ons I use, since it makes formatting text in forums that use BBCode and wikipedia pages very easy to do. My one regret is that this is no longer maintained and I can no longer add more buttons under Firefox 7 (though the ones I created under FF 4 still work!).
This is an excellent extension to use with Firefox as new buttons can be added to the toolbar Customise option simply by selecting a link on the home page and installing them. However, the documentation is obscure for installing extra buttons for non-Firefox Mozilla applications such as Thunderbird, and installs from the home page automatically add the buttons to Firefox, not other applications. That is why I'm giving this a low rating for Thunderbird - it is not obvious just how to add pre-existing buttons to the application! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.1).
I found this functioned as stated, but it could do with two improvements. The first is a button that could be added to a toolbar or the All-in-one side bar. The second is the ability to set your own text colour and background on the list.
I was migrating to Firefox from using Maxthon and Roboform, and wanted something similar. This is a form filler at the right level of complexity and configurability. I can have several profiles, and optional optional fields to fill.
What would make this a GREAT add-in would be a method of copying data in an existing form into a profile. That would save a lot of work.
Like "Not Impressed" I too have come from years of using Maxthon and Roboform, and found this add-in very confusing (and, gasp, made the same error they did!). What I wanted was a simple, but customisable method of filling out forms. I might have found it with FIREFORM at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3193 instead.
This might be a good add-in if it had a help page and examples on how to use.
