Excellent. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin. Worth every penny.

The page auto-opening is annoying, true, but there are ways around it. You know, in case you ever wondered why your page gets listed in all kinds of lists.

WARNING: Popups Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This is thinly disguised adware. It "updates" several times a week, and opens a browser tab every time. It does this randomly when you have FF open, NOT on startup like every legitimate add-on does. Like, while I'm in the middle of typing something into a form - BOOM, now I'm staring at a YouTube High Definition "update" page.

Someone else suggested that the purpose is just to get more hits on the ads on the developer's site, and that seems likely to me. I can't think of any other reason to disrupt people frequently throughout the week.

Video sticking out to left Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Posted a previous review with pic that showed video colliding with related videos on right.
Now, it's on the left.

Using Tiny size.

Have only a couple extensions, and did refresh FF reinstall recently.

Auto HD YouTube extensions in Chrome have no problems.

Shrink video size makes centered again, but related video thumbnails all white.

Thanks.

Not worth it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Hijacks your browser to the developers homepage after each update. This means several times each week. I'm suspecting the developer to fake updates to get as many hits on his Ads as possible. Very obtrusive. Uninstalled it.

http://barisderin.com/?p=1117 misleading update message Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This app is functional but the only problem is that it randomly takes you to http://barisderin.com/?p=1117 in the browser with the message:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations! Youtube High Definition updated successfully. This version contains below improvements:

• Support for Recent YouTube Changes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am pretty sure that this is not a genuine add-on update message as it is pretty generic and does not specify what YouTube changes are addressed. Also there hasn't been any change in features nor have I encountered any critical issues that would require frequent updates to the extension. Why does it have to behave like an adware? It is either due to inefficient release management of the developer or just a deliberate gimmick to improve site/page viewership?

As a workaround I have routed the domain barisderin.com to 127.0.0.1 in etc/hosts file but it does not solve the frequent pop up problem. I wish that I could selectively disable automatic updates for this particular extension to get rid of such messages..

Mozilla should stop allowing external URLs to be displayed for plugin update notifications to prevent misuse of this feature.

Sound out of sync with some videos Rated 2 out of 5 stars

When it works it is great. Lately half the videos I try to watch the sound is out of sync with the video. Disabling YHD solves the problem. I have enabled/disabled all my other addons to no effect. I also have a clean profile I use to test with and the problematic videos play fine until I install YHD. Emailed the Dev some examples a couple of weeks ago- hopefully it gets fixed.

Sweetness! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Annotations good-bye!! HD here I come!
I feel like the master of Youtube with this little treasure. I'm no longer bothered by annotations nagging me, and I don't have to be bothered by clicking "HD" every time a video pops up. Also I have full volume control as well as playlist control- totally sweet. I felt like I had to make an account just to review all of the great add-ons and this one made the cut :)

This add-on is perfect!

It runs your favorite HD resolution every time without fail. You can kill annotations, and you can auto start videos!

On a side note... If you have FlashStopper add-on installed to stop those annoying videos you get all over the net that auto play, this will override that setting so you have just youtube vids auto loading!

Thank you so much for this wonderful, perfectly working add-on!

YTHD 35.3 running better than ever here on FF 35.01 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm unable to speak about YTHD 35.3 new Firefox Electrolysis Support because I run only FF 35.01 where Electrolysis is not implemented, so all I can say is that it runs better than ever with this FF version.

Better indeed. Previously running a Youtube video in the same tab would break the full-page video layout (YTHD option) and this is no longer the case. YTHD moreover "follows" the numerous Youtube modifications (following here is more a run than a ballade) and this is a true pleasure for the user as opposed to add-ons which are seldom when not never updated. So thanks to the developer for this excellent work.

Mobile friendly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was wondering if there is a possibility that the developer can make this add on mobile friendly for my Kindle fire hdx. It works great on pc.. Probably my favorite add on of all time..

Great extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Had it before but uninstalled it for some reason. I needed it again , as my internet is slow during the day and want to watch videos in 360p. However, there are some improvements and more features as I can see. Great job. Suggestion: A repeat feature would be nice for people that listen music or something.
